Outdated, yes, but clean. Spectacular location, very close to restaurants, shops and bars. The bed was comfortable and check-in easy. Keep in mind that the hotel is old, so the walls are paper thin. This didn't bother us at all, we had a great stay.

Hello, first of all, thank you for leaving us an opinion on your experience in our hotel. It is true that the location of our hotel allows any guest to make the most of the little wonders of Quebec City. All there is to see is near us! As for the hotel's decor, considering that we are located in the Old Town district, it is chosen so as to respect and represent the essence of this area. Hoping that this aspect did not affect your stay, we hope to welcome you back soon and win the two missing stars! Looking forward, Emmanuelle C.

I spent 6 nights in the hotel and it was almost perfect for my needs. The hotel is in a great location within the walls of the old city. Walking distance to everything, adequate parking, etc. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was not big but not small either with hardwood floors.

The only issue I had was taking a bath and or shower. The water temperature would go from hot to cold and back again multiple times during each shower. I would be concerned of scalding a child if I had young children.

We wanted a Hotel in Old Quebec and were very pleased with Hotel Acadia! Yes...it is an old building...that is part of the charm! No elevator...okay...it's an old historic building! I'm in my 60's and had no problem with the 1 1/2 flight of stairs. Plus...the bellman brought our luggage to our room. The room was very spacious and comfortable...and the bathroom was large with both a jetted tub and shower. Walking distance to shops restaurants and the Funicular! We also had the breakfast package...at Le Feu Sacre. Valet parking...$22/day. It is expensive...our 2 nights...$764. I do recommend!

Hello,

First of all, thank you for taking the time to leave us an opinion on your experience in our hotel. We are sorry to see that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. Since we are located in an area of the city protected by UNESCO, we are forbidden to install facilities such as an elevator, in order to preserve the cachet of the establishments of Old Quebec. Our receptionists are always available to help our visitors get their suitcases to their room and they will be happy to do it for you. About the parking, it is true that the parking lots in the area are subject to additional costs because of their location, in Old Quebec City. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused!

Yours truly,

Emmanuelle C.

The management, location, and room were good. The property is old but clean. The location around the corner was fine. Considering the price, it was well worth it.
My only complaint is that it was advertised as a 12-minute walk from the train station which is laughable because it is all up-hill (steep) and would take much longer if on a level terrain. I would be better to advise visitors to call a cab or Uber to arrive.

Room tip: Call a cab if you arrive at the train station.
