The place got quite busy as soon as we were seated and service was quite slow. The crepes my partner ordered were really good but the classic breakfast I ordered was okay though the sausages was really good. All in all, a decent breakfast experience.

Authentically “Breton” for tourists, you can see how enchanted and pleased they are, welcomed and waited on by lovely ladies in traditional clothing in constant hectic mouvements. And when locals are in their midst, that’s a good sign. The restaurant is old and rustic which makes it warm especially in a rainy evening like the one we had. The crepe selection is vaste and fulfilling.

This was the first place we ate out at during our 3 week vacation, which began in Quebec City. Honestly, it was the perfect way to start as it is smack dab in the middle of Old Town, and the decor and atmosphere, while a little cheesy, is exactly what it intends to be with no pretentiousness.

The crepes are a very safe bet as they seem to be invariably delicious. However, if you want a more straightforward and utterly filling breakfast/brunch, I recommend the eggs benedict with Parisian ham. I barely got through this even though I hadn’t eaten for 12 hours since dinner the night before!

The hot chocolate is not apparently anything special according to my boyfriend, so it is your call if you want a dose of regular hot chocolate. Their coffee is extremely decent, though.

This place fills up and empties out very quickly thanks to the popularity and the speedy service. A few people were waiting by the door after us, but they got seated within 15 minutes.

I'm frankly surprised by the poorer reviews for this restaurant, and it was packed with customers when we ate there this evening. My husband and I had the sampler which included french onion soup, salad, and a strawberry maple butter crepe with ice cream. Complimentary coffee or tea was served with the meal. It was all outstanding but I loved the salad that came with a mound of grated swiss cheese and a delicate vinaigrette dressing. The soup came piping hot and was full of flavor, and the desert crepe was delicious. Our waitress, who was the only one waiting tables, was pleasant and efficient. I heartily recommend this restaurant!

When I lived in Quebec City 42 years ago, this charming restaurant was a favorite treat. Have been back a few times with more happy memories. Met up with friends there yesterday for lunch. Even with reading the many bad reviews on this site, still went back because we had not seen each other since 1976 and wanted to recreate a bit of our shared past. Really wanted the reviews to be wrong. Alas, we concluded the restaurant did not age as well as we did. Had the ham bechamel spinach crepe. It was overly salty and it seemed like the cook (not chef) tried to drown out the sweetness of the crepe by over salting the filling. Hint, make savoury and sweet crepes. We do that at home..... The waitress was alone and seemed to find bringing our coffees and teas too hard. Asked twice .... Almost tried to go boil our own water. We sat and chatted in the corner table for 2.5 hours and never got the impression that we should vacate our table......had a great meeting with my friends but the meeting with the creperie was underwhelming.
