We always book a table when attending Badminton Horse Trials which we have been doing for over 20 years and good food is always guaranteed. The setting is lovely and the lack of empty parking spaces is testament itself. The staff are always pleasant and helpful so what more could you want?!

Visited OHH for Sunday lunch on14 May. Quite like the place and the food is pretty good, but the service was poor. Two courses in 2.5 hours is too long even in Wiltshire!

Chicken wrapped in bacon arrived minus the bacon too and after more than an hour fir dessert, this turned up barely warm and when sticky toffee pudding doesn't melt the ice cream, you know something is off.

Overall impression is that OHH failed to live up to its reputation.

Tasteful, high quality furniture and decor, spacious rooms. Decent free wifi, excellent bathroom. The staff are very helpful and efficient, the breakfast was outstanding and the bar offers a very decent range of beers. What else can want?

We stayed for one night recently and were very impressed by the friendly service and excellent food. There are several rooms behind the hotel. We stayed in Ruinart and had a massive and very comfortable bed and a large, well equipped wet room. Dinner was excellent & I can recommend the duck breast and the home made ice cream-the lemon sorbet, morello cherries with white chocolate and salted caramel were all delicious. Breakfast was also excellent and my ham, mushroom and cheese omelette was one of the best I've ever eaten. We'll certainly be back next time we're in the area.

Four of us had lunch recently, and very good it was too.
The OHH is part of a small pub chain, and a cut above the competition.
We ate from the lunchtime two course meal, had a couple of drinks each and paid just over £100. Possibly expensive for lunch, but not for the quality.
Let downs were slow service, and a dish of ham eggs and chips which was ordinary and not up to the standard of the other food.
