The Salutation Inn is a lovely hotel in a lovely little village of Topsham. We chose this hotel for its restaurant. However we were disappointed with the food. We chose the mid tasting menu but it did not come up to our expectation. My main was pork belly, it wa very ordinary and quite tough. My wife chose the skate for main, it was off the bone, which in itself is odd as skate is quite thin, it was steamed in a bag and then pan fried, well it was cooked to within an inch of its life, very over cooked. We felt the experience was ordinary but expensive.
