Well, Sani Beach Club lived up to and in fact exceeded all expectations. We have just returned from 10 days of amazing food, relaxation, sun (fortunately) and service that could not be faulted. The resort closes in 3 weeks but we felt as if we were the first guests of a brand new season – not the last few at the end of a busy year.
On arrival at well past midnight, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm despite the pouring rain of a thunderstorm and shown to our room – an upper floor sea view bungalow no 105. It was immaculate and there were 2 plates of sandwiches, some crisps and a complementary bottle of wine which were a lovely gesture after a long (and as we drove from the airport in heavy rain) stressful journey.
The next morning the buffet that greeted us was – unbelievable. I personally don’t like buffets but this was wonderful!! The Sani dine around programme is fantastic and we sat with Lia from guest services on the first morning who arranged our bookings for the next 10 days. We chose restaurants that offered the set menu (choice of 3 starters, mains and sweets) that are included in your price allowance. The food and portions were amazing (often the dishes appeared on the A la Carte menu at a price of the 20 euro allowance). Special mention must go to Macaroni where we eat at least 3 times and Georgina (the lady with black hair) who couldn’t do enough for us .
We also ate at Psaroyannos Ouzerie twice, once for my birthday, when despite the rain, the staff made it a special night – even presenting me with a cake organised by Lia.
I must mention also mention Dunes restaurant where we ate breakfast every morning (must be booked) and dinner at least twice. Its beautiful, romantic and serves food and wine as good as any restaurant I’ve visited. Special mention must go to Denisa who greeted us with a smile daily and made us feel very special, Vasilli who always ensured everything was in order and Meikei who’s little touches meant we wanted to return every day – what a wonderful team and thank you all.
I should say that not once did we encounter a rude comment, sullen look or anything other than graciousness from any member of staff throughout the whole Sani resort including the marina, village, hotel and club. It’s a credit to the training, conditions and people that are employed that you are treated so well – from gate security to hotel management, which is why so many people return year after year.
I have mentioned the restaurant staff but want to point out special service from Lia and Vangelis from guest services who were always on hand to sort out a boat trip, restaurant booking, extended room checkout and a complementary dinner on our date of departure or provide other information to help our holiday be so special. The beach staff who were pleasant and attentive at all times. The spa staff – reception and cleaning team who always left our room immaculate. Finally I will also say thank you to the gardener’s and maintenance crew. Always behind the scenes but who the resort relies upon to be presented as beautiful as it is. It’s a credit to everyone involved. Thank you to all the staff – you are all amazing.
If you are looking for clubs, pubs, late nights and cheap booze do not go to Sani Resort. If you are looking for relaxation, quality accommodation, friendly and polite staff, sophistication and luxury book it. This is a place where we will return to.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed to be excellent - we liked the closeness to the sea room 105

Rarely in my travels do I wish to return to a particular resort, but the Sani Resort is one such. My husband and I are keen bird watchers so were looking for a holiday with access to a nature reserve, along with good food, scenic beauty and comfort. The Sani Resort ticked all the boxes, with its 4 hotels and 14 restaurants, miles of wetlands, an eco-friendly approach and dine-around programme. We stayed at Sani Beach Club, which was quiet and comfortable, with superb views over the Aegean. Yes, this is a place which caters for families and young children, as other reviewers have commented on, but we liked that. We also didn't mind the walks up the hill, although there were plenty of buggies if needed. The food was excellent, as was the service, and staff everywhere went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Vangelis, guest services manager, for his thoughtful approach, and to all the staff.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed at. Beautiful design, extremely kind and attentive staff. Great food, that accomodates every appetite! The pool and beach areas are also remarkably comfortable and pretty, the water is inviting and just the perfect temperature.

Sani beach club offers an outstanding spa. Chrysa welcomes you as if you were a queen. She spoils you and makes your stay at the spa unforgettable. Peaceful retreat for everyone. I am looking forward to my next stay there.

Room Tip: all the rooms have excellent views
