Had high expectations based on reviews and given this is featured on the cool camping website.

The site was full when we arrived and our placement was double booked. We were initially offered a space on the car park, fortunately one of the glamping pods was free so we were offered this instead so glamped' for one night.

Great little pool, but too few toilets and showers for the number of people in peak season. Staff were very friendly.

Think we needed to stay longer/out of peak season to appreciate it.

Small peaceful site with beautiful trees, well-laid out pool area, good value and delicious food, and great draught beer. All set in the middle of fantastic countryside and close to pretty Besalu. We were in the bell tent which was comfortable, light and airy - proper beds and all. The owners were immensely generous and went out of their way to be helpful. Look forward to going back to do some proper hiking.

Room Tip: Reliable wifi up in the bar/cafe area

This is a beautiful, family run campsite set in the grounds of an old farm house. The pitches are surrounded by leafy trees that provide as much or as little shade as you like.

On arrival we were greeted by the elder son of the couple that own the campsite, he was very warm and welcoming and we discovered later is brewing his own beer! The beer is available from the bar at the campsite and got the thumbs up from my husband :o) I don't drink beer but I loved the illustration on the bottles! The couple were also lovely, very easy to talk to and had lots of recommendations on the area.

In the middle of the campsite are the washing facilities and pool. The pool, though not large is still big enough to have a nice swim and oh how you will want to dive in on a hot sunny day here! The showers are operated with tokens that are available from the office. The cubicles have 2 shelves though no hooks... It's hard to really describe how nice this place is, it just feels like a lot of thought has gone in to the layout and the planting here. Really the only thing that I could suggest is a couple of hooks in the showers :o)

This is one of the few campsites that we have stayed at that we have been sad to leave, we will have fond memories of this place and if we get a chance to return to this area of Spain I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This was a real find. We are new to caravanning and found the location and the family run site exceptional, by far the best we have been to. We read one of the reviews and they said that in the season it was very busy.( I think thats what you would expect).
Our last weekend was spent with the the campsite full with VW campers, the people where so friendly that I would like to come back next year when they are here. The off season rates are really good and they do a special offer for a months stay or more.
(also a great help when your car breaks down)
