This is more than just a business, they go out of their way to be helpful and friendly to walkers. I had a delicious cake and tea after there after a long walk and they provided a lot of useful local info.

Very welcoming, cracking tea and bacon sandwitch. Happy to help others who came in without buying too. Would recomend a visit.

After a wet and windy walk up Pen y Ghent, this is the only place to stop. Great hot chocolate. Quirky place with cakes and drinks and walking supplies maps and books

Visited the after completing the 3-peaks challenge the day before. Although prices were not comparable to weather spoons, they were completly reasonable for an area as remote as here.We both had buttered crumpets for breakfast at around 2 pounds, and a large caffetiere or real ground coffee. The place was warm, and the staff very welcoming and intetested in customers.

Although only crumpets, the only decent well priced meal we had in the village!

Cafe also sells a variety of walking gear/accesories/maps - seems like it doubles up as the only village shop.
