    Stayed for a long weekend, the host Nicky was very welcoming and gave us some great ideas for local walks. Good place to stay if you want somewhere away from the crowds. Definitely recommend.

    A Truly magnificent place, we all enjoyed the magic you would expect from a cottage. Well presented and clean and beautiful location. Also Nicky was a wonderful host.

    “Perfect, cosy cottage.”

    We stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to come home. A beautiful cottage, spotless, homely, everything you need including little extras such as cookies and milk. Lovely log burner to cosy up after local walks. We chose from cards in the cottage for our 6 mile walk. Excellent communication with the friendly owner, who was v accomodating. Fab local pub, cafe, shop- everything you need for a little getaway. We would definitely return and recommend to all family and friends.

Caldbeck is on the northern fringe of the Lake District National Park, which has it own charm of being in the Lake District National Park but within 20 minutes of Keswick.

    “Excellent choice for the northern Lakes”

    Beckside Cottage is a lovely property in a pretty village on the northern fringes of Lakeland. There are plenty of nice walks in the immediate vicinity, but Keswick and surrounds are also easily reached by car. The cottage is cosy and well equipped (including a good Wi-Fi connection) and the owner Nicky could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.
