A run-down hotel, but central location. The management really need to look into/improve the cleanliness of all guest rooms.
Upon check in, the reception will keep my passport (without signing any document). They will the passport to me once we check out. I'm very curious, whether the hotel has the right to do so?

The room is just ok. You have all the basic amenities you need. Don't expect too much. Ok to spend a night just for sleep. However, the location is superb. Located opposite the wet and dry market, convenient store is just right infront of the hotel and a street food lane right behind the alley. Overall Betong is a small town. Wherever you stay would be convenient.
Don't expect much from this hotel ,the hotel was kinda run down and basic ameneties not complete,no fridge in the room &there isnt any hair dryer or ironing board or a water boiler.Toilet and bathroom attached without a bathroom curtains so becareful of your clothes Staff knows how to speak in cantonese & abit of english,so there is no worry if communication.Location of the hotel was good,just behind the market and you can easyly find food around at night and morning you can just walk behind the lane there will be plenty of choices!
Being told by Bell boy that cheaper room is available but during check in the room is fully occupied except the more expensive one. Room is quite cramp but internet connection is good. Dedicated and secured parking is also provided. Won't return for next.
1 night stay in 2011. No booking, just lobbed in off the street and got a room easy. It did not appear very full. Decided next day that Merlin would have been a good choice but much pricier, though newer. Hallways musty in smell. Room clean but bathroom quite dirty and dark. OK for the low price though. Massage in room (1.5 hours) offered but I did not bother.
