My wife and I stayed at the Cerritos Beach Inn in December, in the week leading up to Christmas. We were greeted by Jim, the owner, and his manager upon our arrival. Although we had booked a mountain view room, Jim announced that other guests had extended their stay in that room, and cheerily upgraded us to an oceanfront room. The inn is right on the beach, around 3/4 of a mile south of the busy end of the beach. That provides an awesome and quiet experience, but an easy walk to "the action," if that is your thing. There is a good little restaurant and bar in the inn, so no need to go anywhere unless you want to. The inn has a swimming pool and small water slide for he kids on the mountain side, and a hot tub facing the ocean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms have large walk in showers. The rooms have ceiling fans and stand fans, it aren't air conditioned. Each room has its own terrace. The views of the Pacific are awesome, from the rooms, from he restaurant and from the lounge chairs right in front. They have boogie boards available to borrow for guests. Jim is the owner and builder and is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We own a condo on the Sea of Cortez side, near San Jose del Cabo, but wanted to spend a day on the Pacific side. It's just a 15 minute drive into Todos Santos, if you decide to go to town for lunch or dinner. We hung on the beach and saw an endless procession of whales breaching on their way to Land's End, before their trip up the Sea of Cortez to have their calves. It was awesome! If you want a quick et, laid back place to stay, not luxurious but very comfortable, his is the place. We'll be back!
