Had a one night stay at this old pub, plenty of parking available when we got there, clean spacious room with a really big bed, good sized bathroom plenty of hot water, breakfast cooked to order all good, a good place to stay overnight.

Stayed: November 2017

Title says a lot about this pub with rooms .nice pub with traditional feel ,friendly staff.did not sample the food although they were doing brisk buisness .the rooms above the pub are clean but in need of an upgrade .ok it provides all you need for an overnight stop but fix/fits are all very tired.the breakfast was a dissapointment with undercooked bacon and hash browns.

Very clean and friendly Pub with Rooms with excellent routes across Humber Bridge,
Owners were great and the food in Restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice for Breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend this as base for South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

Room Tip: All Rooms are upstairs and no Lift, there are also stairs in Bar

Bubbly landlady/barmaid and friendly girls at work.. once you crack the outer casing of the landy he's okay too! The clientele are nice in here, I think the prices are a little (not much) higher but you have the assurance of not having to put up with riffraff like some other joints i could name round here. You get what you pay for, hand pulled ales and tap, good selection of spirits, well presented place, they've worked hard at this and it shows. It's an institution. You'll meet bikers and old Bartonians and a smattering of everyone else, good atmosphere.

Had a lovely carvery on Sunday and was very impressed. Meat was very tender and the vegetables were all fresh. The staff were very friendly and the new landlady and landlord are very friendly. The pub feels very friendly with a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend it.
