Our stay at Shelduck Lodge at Tattershall Lakes was just perfect. The place is amazing & there's something there for everyone. It was spacious enough to sleep the 6 of us (" adults, 2 boys aged 12 & 9 & 2 girls aged 5 & 1) & we could've even brought 1 more at a push as there was a spare lounger bed provided. It was both baby/toddler & oap/disabled friendly as there's a ramp up to the deck as well as stairs. The sky tv (inc sports & movies) & hot tub outside on the decking meant none of us were ever bored whilst spending time at our base, & after finding a nice shortcut to the entertainment complex & another 1 to reception we realised it was perfectly placed on the park. The kids loved feeding the ducks that were on 'duck lake' just outside & we threw bread to them from our own fishing peg with the lodge name on it. The beds are comfy, even the double sofa bed. The kitchen & dining areas are spacious & the bathroom has everything we needed. There's even a spare toilet. The heating works fine & Anne was always on hand to assist us by txt or phone call whenever we were in doubt. She arrived to greet us after we'd got there & we didn't even need to check in at reception as the key was left in the safe just outside the lodge. Anne gave us a demonstration on how the hot tub worked & told us about the local area etc. The entertainment complex could be better though. They'd ran out of quite a lot of food & we suggested they should order their stock judging on the amount of guests due to arrive in future, especially with it bein half term & surely a few more guests were expected? The slot machines turn off when they want, some don't even work & the swimming pool only has a handful of changing cubicles so there's a queue when wanting to get changed. There's a decent selection of drinks though but some of the staff could be slightly nicer to the kids! The castle is a good half day out & is only a 5 minute walk down the road. Overall we hope to come back here 1 day & can't speak highly enough about the lodge itself.
