Went to Cromer to visit friends and stumbled upon this carvery. Decided to try it as one of the party is not a fish lover ! So glad we did. Although the place was absolutely heaving, a lovely lady found us a table. We all had the carvery, including one dairy intolerant who although very busy, they did plain steamed veg for.Nothing was too much trouble and no bother. Two had a dessert, one had coffee as not a dairy free option they fancied and one was far too full, having been up to the carvery three times !! Staff were lovely, from reception welcome to young people clearing and serving. Cannot wait for next visit.

Room Tip: did not stay, visited restaurant.

Just had Sunday carvery it was excellent. New owner and he’s really doing a good job. Been coming to the Dormy for over 20 years and it was ready for an update looking forward to staying next month and seeing what else has been done.

Very popular hotel, ambience, under new management who are working hard to really bring it to high standard"best roast on coast",basically have what you want,as much as you can eat,but food is to very high standard, with service and civility, will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Enjoy yourselves like us,sea view rooms are best on back of hotel

We stayed at a local B and B and decided to have a meal at the Dormy on Saturday evening we both had the carvery whicn was not very good the roast potatoes where like shoe leatherther pork was horrible grisly fat the veggies passable the yorkshires huge but stone cold bottoms crackling ok , i tried the apple strudle the worst Ive ever tasted it was just bland filo pastry with a small amount of what looked like apple puree after complaining the waitress knocked the price of the strudle , we have been before when the other owners run the hotel and resaurant and always had a lovely meal sorry to say will not go again
