The Casa Real is the original estate house for the Santa Rita winery and is stunning. It's large and yet friendly. The rooms are enormous, very comfortable, with a sitting room area, wide screen TV, large bathroom, comfortable bed with top quality linens etc. Although there is no A/C the temperature in the room was very comfortable because of the windows and breeze and we were there in the Chilean summer.
We ate our group welcome dinner in a dining room to rival Downton Abbey with matching service! Breakfast was fresh juices and fruit, eggs to order, toast etc.
The gardens around the house are stunning, think stately home with flower beds, lake with swans, maze, so many different trees and shrubs.
There is a private museum on site with an amazing collection of pre-colombian artifacts all beautifully displayed, entrance was free for us as guests.
Our group was invited to participate in blending our own wines which was a very fun activity and we got to take our blend home together with an apron. There is also a wine store though I didn't go there but I suspect it will be very tempting. There was no pressure at all to buy which was appreciated. There seemed to be other daily visitors to the estate but basically we felt as if we were the only people there, it's quiet and refined and yet also laid back.
Wifi was free but not very reliable, apparently they are working to improve it. But no worries, the place itself more than compensates for being disconnected for a day or two, not a bad thing!

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms seemed brighter.

This is a beautiful place. The gardens are extensive and fascinating. Peace and quiet yet such easy access to Santiago. Excellent wines, good food, perfect place to gently unwind. Would recommend without hesitation.

The tuck away red old villa from the origional founder overlooking the park was a lovely surprise. Hotel room with a 70's look but brilliant old rooms upstairs and one could picture the balls that happen here in the past.
Service was wonderfull, the food could be a bit better

This is a hotel for those who wish to discover the very essence of love, the beauty of nature and a palette of tastes beyond imagination. The genuine, friendly and professional staff make you feel truly welcome and special. With care they guide you through the award winning wines of Santa Rita and the menu filled with succulent dishes, every bit home made, even the breakfast marmalade being made of sweet oranges and berries from the garden. The hotel is surrounded by a garden full of mystique and romance, where a walk will take you past old trees with thick trunks, soothing you with their hundreds of years of age. Take a look at the adjacent chapel, take pleasure in the black and white swans swimming in the pond facing the hotel, let the unusually prominent Hortensia blossoms, the rich and tall Azaleas and the meandering vines fill your sight. At the Roman spa from the early nineteen hundreds little stone frogs pour water over the white lady statue that decorates the etiquette of the Santa Rita wine Trinidad C, which combines the flavors of three different grapes to a feast for your tongue. The touch of the talented chef will leave you with a rainbow of tastes that linger in precious memories of a very special visit.

Mary Kay has said everything I might have but I do have to say that, contrary to what Lyn says, the rooms on the ground floor were very ample and somehow I even got a very commodious suite, #106. There are terraces, oodles of roses, fountains, flowers, swans and some wonderful old trees. Interesting irrigation ditches throughout the property. Recently renovated small church...If I remember correctly the renovation took two years and was done by artisans from the Vatican. There is a small grotto on the property. My huge suite had a separate living room with two sofas and a fireplace, hallway to the bedroom that had twin beds, (with a shared bedside table and no alarm clock), a platform with another sofa and desk. There were double sinks in the bathroom and toilet & bidet/ shower rooms and a separate tub. Two closets. The room and bathroom got a re-tidying up in the evening, with chocolates left on the bed. The interior of the hotel is fantastic; lots of lounges, a pool room, all beautifully decorated. The staff is extremely attentive. Our wine tasting group had two dinners there, a barbecue in the gazebo (wonderful!) and a formal dinner in the dining room (wonderful!) There was a bird (tortola) nesting in the flower pot at the top of the entrance stairs and she had two eggs she was coaxing along. The wifi as already mentioned is iffy.
