The owners left us some wine and crisps as a welcome pack,
It was very outdated but clean but wouldn't want to stay there for long
But it did us to a couple of nights.
The whole property can sleep 12 people in five double beds and two singles, across a total of six rooms (five double rooms and one twin). Seven of us hired both flats together for two nights, and left the internal door open so that we all had the use of two kitchens, two TVs etc. Plenty of parking outside. The owner Ian had left us a friendly welcome gift, and lives just across the car park. The wi-fi worked fine.
There are loads of paperback books available to read, plus several board games, and VHS tapes of films, including a blank tape should one wish to record something. In Smugglers Rest we watched both a VHS tape and a DVD, although the VHS picture was a bit staticy.
At least one double-bedded room on the ground floor of Moonrakers is a disabled room, with en suite toilet and shower offering wheelchair access. On the ground floor in Smugglers Rest there is the occasional step down / up before a doorway.
I couldn’t figure out how to operate the built-in radiator in my room, but there were also plug-in ones available, so no problem.
The property was perfect for our needs. I am certainly willing to stay here again.
