This resort has a beautiful scenery with a clean sandy beach. The pool has a fantastic view of the sea and very close to the cafe. The cafe served decent food and value for money. Booked Terrace Twin room but fell short of my expectations. Generally, the room size and cleanliness was acceptable. However, the first room had leaking cistern and the shower from the water heater was dripping when it was being turned on. The management was kind enough to move us to another room. Again we faced similar issue ie leaking cistern and the toilet was flushing by itself throughout our 2 days stay. We notified the housekeeping and they told us to open the cistern and put back the lever each time we flush. However, we couldn't be bothered for this was too tedious and we did not want to go through the hassle of moving to another room again. Furthermore, this should not happened at the first place and guests should not be expected to "fix" broken toilet each time they were using it. Imagine the amount of water being wasted during this period. Another let down was there was no mini bar or even a basic laundry plastic bag? There were cups provided but no spoon provided. Just wondering if the management was trying to cut cost by omitting the basic necessity? Anyway, staff at this resort was polite and helpful. I would have given this resort a 4 star if not because of the poor room condition. You can also go the Sebat waterfall about 3 km away from the resort

It's been a while we have not been there and we have found out that the resort has improved after renovation. A very nice place with good scenery for relaxation. Our children enjoy really themselves in the pool. There's variety of buffet food and we love it.

Our first time staying in this resort, but definitely won't be our last. We already started planning for our next visit to the best resort in town. Sematan is laid-back and very friendly fishing village, where you can find lots of outdoor activities. The owner and operator, Nicholas is always there to greet guests and to make sure you're cold drinks are always full of ice. We stayed in the chalet overlooking the pool and Ocean, nothing beats an early morning, sipping your coffee on a veranda with the waves pounding the Beach, while watching the fishermen working on their catch, just Magic!!!
The room is clean, plenty of windows, cold A/C unit, even for a Canadian. The Beach is safe for little children to play as well, flat with miles of pristine unspoiled sandy beach, perfect for beachcombers. We really miss this place.

Spent 2 nights here last weekend with my family. The room that we got which was a Terrace Twin was quite small and there was no view of the sea but we could not complain since breakfast and dinner were provided for 2 pax and children below 5 years old get to eat for free.

For lunch, you can head over to Sematan town which is just nearby or take a 30-min drive to the nearest town Lundu.

In terms of activities, we tried to book for the boat trip as recommended in the resort's website but weather conditions did not allow that to happen.

In the future, I would recommend to go for the 6-pax chalet as those are the only ones with direct view of the sea and don't stay for more than a night.

Room tip: Request for the 6-pax chalet as those are the only ones with direct view of the sea
