The resort is the opposite end of the island to 7-mile beach (mind you the whole island is small so no problem to visit Georgetown any day) The staff were professional, friendly and the resort was very clean. The room was huge - a 2BR 2BA with kitchen and living area - extended balcony. There are 3 reasons for only 4 stars and not 5; firstly the WiFi was $8.99 a day for one device - more for additional devices - a tip - go next door to the Wyndham Reef - its free in the lobby coffee shop area. Secondly, Mimis barfood was poor - I had the portabello mushroom sandwich and it was cold, with a glob of mozzarella (in contrast, Ivan's bar which I think has the same chef was excellent - go figure - get the fish tacos !) You can see the fish swimming under the dock from Mimi's restaurant which was cool. Thirdly, be aware of the "electric additional charge" on checkout. Ours was $140 for 6 nights. We had not told them we were checking out a day early, so how could they have read the meter ? We ran only the air conditioner when in the unit - it was off when we were out - also we did not run the dishwasher, or laundry so I thought that was a bit steep. Still, nice people, lovely swim up pools and hot-tubs, the addition of a quiet pool was also nice. Very close (walking) to grocery and liquor stores - prices very reasonable. Pretty nice vacation.

This was our second stay at Morritt's, and it was better than last year's. We (surprise) received a recently remodeled ocean-view 2 bedroom unit. The view from our 3rd floor unit was spectacular. The premises are very well maintained, with (obvious) special attention paid to the beach area. The unit was nice, clean and fresh. Nicely appointed and decorated. Included a washer and dryer, which was a bonus. I would have packed lighter than I did had I known... All-in-all, a major improvement over the non-remodeled units, and tons of space. Especially for my crew of just four (all adults).

The staff were very courteous and helpful, but stayed out of our way. A special thanks to the two staff members who rounded up an air tank to fill the (spare) tire on my rental car, which I had just put on due to a slow leak in the original tire.

We didn't utilize any of the resort activities, since we basically just use the unit as a base camp to clean up and relax at after a day of snorkeling and exploring other parts of the island.

We love the laid-back atmosphere of the East end. Family friendly. Very quiet, but with amenities like the Foster's grocery store and Red Sail Sports dive/water sport shop near by if you want/need them.

We rented a car on both visits, and traveled to different snorkeling spots around the island. The car also allowed us to conveniently experience the many different restaurants that are available on the island. Be prepared to spend a lot of money on food and drink - things are very expensive on the island.

A fantastic stay at Morritt's!

Room Tip: Not sure how much advance choice you have.

The resort itself was okay but when we checked out and had arrived home we realized we forgot my wifes’ tablet in our room. I contacted the resort by phone and they said they would contact housekeeping. Three days went by with no reply. Contacted again by email. Received an email saying they had found it and contact them for shipping. When contacted said they didn’t have it. Asked to speak to senior staff. left message ...a week later and no call back or email. Still waiting!!!!!

Room Tip: Don’t stay here!!!

While it is a beautiful resort, I was unable to enjoy my waterview balcony because the guest in the unit below smoked cigars frequently. Disgusting cigar smoke is not what I want to endure while trying to enjoy my view.

Very disappointed from day 1. Our safe was broke..never got a new one and we were there for 2 weeks!
Broken lounge chair on our balcony and MANY broken on beach..not comfortable.
The beach bar b que good idea but no lighting after sunset.
No free internet! Went next door to Wyndham and used theirs..no charge.
Utility fees was a shock..hardly used any and our bill was 300 for 2 weeks!
Might as well paid for hotel instead of timeshare.
They ran out of food at buffet.
For what it cost..it was a 1 star resort
