“Paradise”
Reviewed 9 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Fabulous place! We have stayed without a car-which works. We stayed with a car this time-got to explore whole island. Quiet end of island. We had a clean renovated unit, freshly painted, new upholstered furniture, new carpet, HD TV but no HD cable - limited TV channels. Ceiling fans in each room and A/C. No dishwasher but very adequate kitchen with table for 4 - which is great to keep on budget and have drinks and food on hand. View of pool - nice balcony. 4 buildings overlooking water and the rest overlook the pools. All water sports available, bikes, 3 pools, 3 restaurants, laundry, gym - very accommodating. Yoga class 1x/wk. Walking distance to other restaurants, grocery store, liquor store and sundries store. Everyone pleasant and helpful. Most Cayman timeshare resorts require you to pay for electricity-don't be surprised. We turned off lights and AC when out of room-$100 for week. Some leave everything running and it goes up over $200/wk. Our Verizon cell phones did not get texts or calls and no Verizon WiFi. Could pay $8/day for their WiFi. Overall-Great week!

“Average resort”
Reviewed 22 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

I stayed at Morritts for 3 nights before heading over to Little Cayman. It appears that they are remodeling some of their units, and I got one was not yet remodeled. So it depends on which unit you are booked in . If you have the nice remodeled unit your stay would be acceptional. If not, then your stay will be mediocre. They do have a tendency to nickel and dime you to death here. I paid over 5.00 US for a cup of coffee one morning. This is a remote side of the island so plan on renting a car.

Thank you for review. Sorry to hear your stay wasn't extraordinary. Hopefully, in the near future the remodeling will be finished. I do agree that unless you are looking to just relax and stay at the resort.. Getting a car is a good thing.

“Wonderful resort witht he best staff!!”

We love the Morrits resort. The staff at Morritts is 2nd to none!!! You cant beat the view and everything you need is close at hand. We rent a car to travel around the island but other than getting to the resort from the airport and back to the airport you would not need to do that. The resort has a restaurant on site called Davids, they serve a breakfast buffet that is wonderful and also serve lunch and dinner., You can get a bite to eat out at the islands only floating bar "Mimi's". There is an onsite dive shop Tortuga Club (Red Sail) that is awesome and a spa to get a massage. There are other restaurants within walking distance as well, I suggest trying the Italian Kitchen across the street. Make sure you bring your snorkel gear as you can snorkel under Mimi's where you will see many fish including Tarpon, some as big as 5' to 6'. If you are lucky you might even see the occasional sting ray or even a small reef shark (completely harmless). If you are not a fan of the ocean there are 3 pools on the property including the infinity pool by the Grand. Traveling with children? There are activities for them as well. I highly recommend trying this resort if you have not already done so. If you like it as much as us you should talk to Cheryl about becoming an owner!

“Quiet and Beautiful....as usual !”
Reviewed 21 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Another excellent week at the Morritt's Tortuga club. It's our 4th time on the East end and we love it still....
We expect the quiet beach front resort with no hassle daily. Do whatever you want , whenever you want and always feel relaxed.
We have seen the club before Ivan hit, right after it hit and now 2 more times since then. That side of the island had terrible damage to the beauty it had but it is great to see the rebuilding and slow progression of the natural beauty coming back.
The staff was EXTREMELY courteous, helpful, upgrades, etc.. to make life perfect for the week.
Jesus, all the front desk staff, David (concierge) and the wonderful bartenders from Norman, Michelle, David, Jas were all entertaining and very happy. We met a great couple from the same state that we live in and now have developed a new relationship and hope to stay in touch.
Can't say anything more could have made it better other than not having to leave so soon!

“Relaxing Vacation”

I'm a timeshare owner that traded for a week at Morritt's. The rooms need updated but they are clean. Had to call maintenance a few times but they were quick to respond. It is on a quiet beach so if you like the nightlife you won't want to stay here. It's great when the cruise ships come in because you don't see it at the East end of the island.
The staff members were great. Always helpful. We especially loved Alicia, she was a doll.
My husband dived with the Morrit's Divers on the property. All of the staff at Red Sail were funny and pleasant except for one older gentleman who seemed a bit grouchy. We only saw him a couple time so it was no big deal.
There are a lot of fees that make staying here pricey but from what I here that is a norm for this island. Local calls.$.75 each. $10 day tax for a 2 bedroom. $185 utility bill.
$80+ for their high speed internet in our room for the week. Problem is they quoted it in Cayman which was around $79. To make matters worse the Internet worked off and on. Couldn't send pictures home. Oh, and that price is per device. $3.99 each time to use the Internet in the lobby. Good time to take a break from social media and electronic communication. Lesson learned... Always ask Cayman or US currency.
Prices for drinks at the bar add up quickly. We didn't realize they were quoting us Cayman prices and not US. We figured it out when I got my final bill at checkout. Ouch. Lesson learned... ALWAYS ask Cayman or US currency.
15% gratuity added to most bills. Understand this is comparable to our 20% if it's in Cayman. ALWAYS ask Cayman or US currency.
There is a small grocery store within walking distance but it only has basics. You are better off hitting one of the bigger stores on your way to the resort. When buying groceries, count on double what you pay in the US. We packed granola bars and other snacks and we're glad we did.
If staying on the East End you will want a car. There are shuttles to different places but those are pricey as well. Renting a car for the week was about the same as one shuttle ride for 4 people.
Beaches and pools are usually not crowded and there always seemed to be plenty of chairs except at the infinity pool. You want to get there earlier. But the other pools are just as nice.
Overall it was a great week, great enough that we already book for March 2016.
