“welcoming, lovely position and comfortable”
Reviewed 25 June 2018 for a stay in June 2018

we had a lovely two night stay, so relaxed and a great basket of goodies to enjoy on arrival. The place is so well cared for and with such warm homely touches we could see why visitors arrive at all times of the year......... the sun shone on us. This did mean the summer house provided a few hours dozing to the sound of sheep and swifts. Although it feels well away from busy life, we found it very convenient to visit the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay here. The summer makes things even better. We are so glad that you had a wee doze out in the summer hut. I am partial to a wee doze out there myself! Please feel free to come back any time. X

Thank you very much for your lovely review. We are so glad that you had a busy and comfy time at the Bothy. You are welcome back any time.

We are just about 10 or 15 minutes from the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel..both of which must be two of Scotland's newest but forever tourist attractions! . So, tourists...if you are suffering from a wee bit of scenery and castle fatigue...head to the Bothy and visit the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. ;-) !

“A quiet lovely farm”
Reviewed 14 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The cottage is really cosy, even more than the pictures show. Really quiet, the place offers great views on the countryside. Our little girl enjoyed to look at the sheeps and play to the playground in the garden. Heather really help us with everything. Thanks a lot.

“Cozy country cottage - our new home from home”
Reviewed 1 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Firstly, I should say, my wife and two boys travel to Scotland at least twice a year as we have family all over Glasgow and Perth. We have stayed at lots of different places and wanted to try some sort of cottage. Well, we are so glad we did.

Greeted by a friendly and welcoming owner, we couldn't have felt more at home from the moment we arrived. The property was very well presented, super clean and had so many little gems I couldn't possibly mention them all (though... it would be a shame not to mention the welcome basket full of goodies and toys hidden in quaint furnishings). The layout was perfect for our young family of four and made the ideal retreat to entertain extended family for brunch, or cuddle up with the boys on the couch while Mummy has a soak in the modern and spacious bathroom.

As I mentioned, there really is so many good things I could write about this property and we are so happy to have found somewhere we feel so relaxed and comfortable in. However, my one year old is currently trying to scale the side of my chair so I may have to leave it there, other than to end on a quote...

"Whenever we come to Scotland, we HAVE to stay here" - my Wife

.... and we will be.

Thank you so much Ryan and family for your lovely review and your card also! We were delighted to receive them both. I am so glad that you both enjoyed your stay and we will be very glad to welcome you back whenever it suits you. I suppose, because I had the kids myself..I tried to put myself in the throws of a holiday making parent. You want the toys and the DVDs..but you want them hidden! You want the bath for washing them all..but you want to go and soak in it yourself whilst watching hubby make the tea! Wee things like that help make you relaxed on the holiday I feel! I just wish I could book in myself sometimes. Once again, thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. ;-) xxx

We stayed at the Stoury Bothy for a long weekend with our 2 young children as we were attending a family wedding at the nearby Glenskirlie Castle. It was just perfect! The accommodation lived up to all of the good reviews and was spotless and spacious for us all. The beds were all very comfortable, very tasteful décor, and we loved the views from the bathroom!! Heather made us feel so welcome into the bothy and the kids just loved playing in the great outdoors! This made our stay so much more relaxing than a standard hotel stay as we had such a great sense of freedom and space. Heather recommded loads of things for us to do with the kids nearby so we had an action packed weekend. I would definitely recommend!
