“A great location and beautiful home”
Reviewed 11 July 2018 for a stay in May 2018

A perfect location for spending time at the beach as well as visiting nearby places such as Rye or having a lovely meal at the Gallivant. After a day out it was lovely to go back to The Salty Dog - felt like coming home and relaxing (if that's possible with a 3 year old)! We would definitely recommend.

“Lovely dog friendly escape”
Reviewed 11 July 2018 for a stay in July 2018

We had a marvellous time (4 girls and 3 doggies) very well equipped and looked after, close to the dog friendly beach as well which is great. Very comfortable rooms and everything you could need for a week away, a real home from home! Rye is also very dog friendly. We had really hot weather so did have to limit the walks with our 4 legged friends which is a shame as there are some lovely ones around the area. Overall would thoroughly recommend The Salty Dog!

We are so pleased you had such a good time. The Salty Dog is the perfect place for a break with dogs and Camber Sands beach is just prefect for them to run around. There are also a good number of countryside walks as well from the cottage, plenty for another stay! We hope to welcome you back again sometime.

“Well equipped, cozy, family home”
Reviewed 4 May 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Everything from booking, meeting on arrival and enjoying all that Salty Dog has to offer was well appreciated by all in our party, including the young children and the dog. We enjoyed it being well equipped for dining in and relaxing of an evening. It's well located for lovely walks on the great sandy beach. The range of baby equipment was great; the huge range of toys was most appreciated by the kids. What sets this place apart is the level of detail to support a perfect holiday. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It’s good to hear you all had a fantastic holiday and that the kids enjoyed the play room and the toys. I will pass your praise onto my team, without whom it would not be possible to offer the high standards appreciated by our guests. We look forward to welcoming you again sometime.

“Fabulous accommodation”
Reviewed 8 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

We have just spent 4 nights at the Salty Dog and it was fabulous. The house was spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming and well equipped. Every tiny detail has been thought of. We loved the short walk to the beautiful Camber beach where we walked the dogs and flew the kite, we wandered around the pretty streets of Rye and had fun playing Crazy Golf and drinking cocktails in Hastings !

I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a few days on the Sussex coast. We had 3 teenagers with us, who enjoyed being able to take themselves off to the beach whenever they wanted to, as well as playing on the football table and watching TV. We will definitely return !

“Xmas stay”
Reviewed 1 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017

Four day Christmas stay at the Salty Dog ,Met on arrival by housekeeper who gave advise of all services and was very helpful and accomodating,.. Food and drink hamper on table when arrived was a lovely gesture. The house had every possible utility , for cooking and a restful stay. Great communications across the stay with nothing too much trouble. Lovely local pubs 2 mins walk , with great beach within same distance.. 40 minute walk gets you to Rye along a safe hard standing footpath.
Overall would highly recommend the Salty Dog as a place to stay at any time of the year.
