I've never been so comfortable in a B&B. Anywhere. Physically and Socially. Sue and John are generous in the small details of shortbread with the tea, luxury robes, lamps and table surfaces to settle in. Then there's the large room, undivided, looking over sea and gardens, oriental carpeted, lovely appointments, fine, fine linen and a gorgeous bed and bath. The location is idyllic for walkers, thinkers, artists, a place to get away and surround yourself with nature. I found it by studying Google maps, looking at the geology, where would a good place be to study? St. Loy. Study a map before you go. Don't rely on GPS. Keep going even when you think it isn't possible for a beautiful house and garden with woods, trails and rock beach front to be any further. Sue and John know how to keep the perfect balance as supportive hosts with a sense of privacy. I really enjoyed our brief, frequent chats about the area. Already looking forward to our next stay. The walks are astonishing, fuelled by Eggs Benedict and fresh squeezed OJ. No one does it better.

This is the best place to stay. Incredibly comfortable suite of rooms with beautiful views, very welcoming and informative hosts, excellent breakfast, beautiful gardens down to a rocky beach. Well off the beaten track, away from the tourists, its very hard to tear yourself away at the end of your stay.

Cove Cottage is nothing short of the seventh level of the seraphim. A room with a view of beautiful gardens and the Cornish coast that is second to none, a large exquisitely clean and comfortable bedroom with a similarly large bathroom, and hosts Sue and John who are incredibly gracious and produce fabulous hearty breakfasts served on the terrace overlooking the ocean. Cove Cottage is ideal for hikers of the coastal path since the path passes by literally right at the end of the garden. It is a very quiet and private place, far from the madding crowd. My wife and I spent 6 glorious days and nights at Cove Cottage and felt it was the best B&B at which we have ever stayed.

Our much anticipated return to this beautiful B&B did not disappoint. It was a delight to be back and our hosts, John and Sue, greeted us with familiar smiles and handshakes. The accommodations were exceptionally comfortable and breakfast was delicious, as usual. We came in Spring and their beautiful garden was blossoming...a delight to just spend time in, relax and listen to the ocean from the bottom of the garden. We had said previously that we would return and we did, Cove Cottage has become a must stay for us each time we come to Cornwall...and we will be back again!

Room Tip: There is only one room, it has everything one needs...view, comfort, privacy and private bath and shower.

You cannot say too much about Cove Cottage and Sue and John. I found this perfect place whilst walking the coast path and vowed to return. It was better than the memory had allowed it to become. The whole experience is just perfect from start to finish and everything will be better than you can reasonably expect it to be. And if your a rugby fan be sure to take time to chat to John!
