I took a 2 bed villa, purchased through expedia.com. The rooms are very well furnished, flat screen tvs (loads of UK channels) , very comfortable beds, soft towels, a kitchen full of the necessary equipment - I was very happy. This resort is very big so don't kid yourself - boutique is another planet. The gym was good as was the very well stocked supermarket. I had one minor quibble - the flies around the pool really were very annoying - the sunbeds on the beach were the only escape. Which leads to my personal restaurant recommendation - go out of the back gate on to the beach - 50 feet on the left is Christina's - it is upper mid tier price wise but the food & location were excellent.(I had a lovely bottle of Fransola, grilled sardines followed by sea bream fried with garlic - with a beautiful sunset to top it off) If you are in to the late night bar/club scene I suggest you get somewhere closer to Marbella - €17 one way to town for a taxi can add up - there is a local bus from the other side of the highway but it is a bit of a drag.

We were a group of five on a timeshare pre Inspection visit. despite the fact that our stay was heavily subsidised, we were surprised at the warm reception we got at the reservations desk. The accomodation was more than adequate, with a 2 bedroom luxury apartment and a king sized pull out sofa in the sitting room. There were full amenities like colour tvs in the rooms, fully equipped kitchen for those who prefer to cook their own food, washing machine, dishwasher, hairdryer, refridgerator , dvd player etc.I would advise you buy food at nearby supermarket and cook as meals can be pricey in their restaurant. We also paid upfront for breakfast for the duration of ourr stay, which is cheaper than paying daily. Gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, shop. We drove around nearby old Marbella town with its quaint churches tapa restaurants and shops. Last but not least was the beautiful beach and restaurants on the beachfront. No surprise i bought a timeshare. The patio in every flat is also a nice sit out for meals and a smoke.

Rooms were very clean and spacious. You definitely need a car for gettimg around unless you plan on never leavimg the resort. Internet service charges a fee. The restaurants were very good when we ate there. Would definitely go back

I'd also stayed at the MVCI resort in Mallorca so kinda knew what to expect. I see comments about charges, prices, meaness and although it can be frustrating and no excuse it is just the same at the vast majority of hotels about the world. Always ask or seek to find out and assume evry extra will be charged then be pleasantly surprised when its not. For example, the board games, putting, croquet, table tennis, whatever supplies ARE included in the apartments.

Most reviews are accurately capturing the essence of the place. We got a call from a timeshare salesperson who never showed at the alloted time - as part of the game she said nothing of the real reason she was coming and claimed to be passing information about the local area that might help (but both partners must be there) and for our part we were only going to see her to get the free bottle of vino!

Stayed at popular Sept weekend and was being quoted >E600 pn for a two bedroom apartment almost everywhere but eventually turned it up for E269-E323pn at Booking.com which was nearer the mark and pretty good value. Otherwise try the old trick of try before buy timeshare then find a reason not to. Staff were good though queues at reception and beach bar could run to 10mins at peak times. LOts of unexpected extras. Market expensive but handy. Don't need a car as plenty restaurants within 15-20mins walk - fine even for our 8year olds. Plenty taxis too.

Grounds are beautifully kept, spacious apartments, several pools. We had an absolute wonderfull stay. El Med restaurant is super. But if you're staying, we recommend a small 'chiringuita' on the beach: Carlos y Paula. Delicious food, great views.
