Very good location to explore the area. A little drive from Chiang Mia but that may be advantage as Chiang Mai is crowded, hot, and noisy but worth a few hours of exploring. The elephants, lions, floating market, and villages are actually very close to the Four Seasons so you can easily see these sites then quickly return and relax at the hotel. This would be a perfect honeymoon or anniversary spot. The property shows a little wear but still stands out as excellent. If most of your time is spent visiting sites, this luxury may be wasted so my advice would be to explore in early morning then spent the afternoon here.

Room Tip: Completely private veranda might be advisable as several are mere yards apart.

This delightful resort in a beautiful setting raises the bar for service to a level that others should strive to reach. The management and staff all work well as a team and every single member of team knows and uses your name all the time.
The restaurants serve excellent Thai and Western dishes and all the facilities are of a very high standard indeed.

Room Tip: The Upper Rice Terrace pavillions offer the best views in the resort.

Hands down on one of the most beautiful hotels in South East Asia, certainly one of the highlights of our trip. The service, grounds, rooms, food and overall experience is A+. They don't miss a beat here, it's a well-run property.
The pool is quite stunning (although it could be heated in Dec.), it overlooks impecable rice paddies. The highlights of the trip was def. the dinner at the chef's table, the food is by far the best in all of Thailand and the staff is super friendly. Also, just relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the hotel, each room is a villa, which are spacious and there's an outdoor deck to watch the sunset on the rice fields.
Added bonus, since the Four Seasons is all about the experience, don''t forget to take a pic with the pink buffalo.

We arrived after a long days travel from Chiang Rai. We were greeted warmly and checkin was a breeze. Our room was large with a great view over the rice paddies which the resort is built around.

The room had all the amenities expected of a Four Seasons Resort. There was a private outside rotunda for us to enjoy a meal or relax on the day bed.

The Thai cooking school included a trip to the market, four great dishes and some vegetable carving. Reputed to be one of the best in Thailamd it certainly lived up to its reputation.

We ate in both restaurants enjoying the Italian and Thai cuisine.

We were only there two nights and it was very good.

Before our comming we know this place by internet. We liked the nature setting , the service, the layout, the tour availability, the food, the air quality, the activities. It is a great place to relax and go hiking on the surrounding hills.
