Great location on beach, warm sea but not much in the local vicinity. Staff are friendly and free shuttle as and when you need to Lubuan Bajo town is offered, dependent on availability. Although the hotel seems fairly new, the rooms are a little dated. The sea view villas/rooms are preferable with unobstructed views of the beach, pool and sea.

However we cannot recommend this hotel - had a substantial amount of cash stolen from the locked room safe. The friendly manager, Sigit, kindly took us to the police station to make a report on his day off, however I fear he has not taken the incident seriously or done any follow up. Despite his promises, he did not contact us again after we checked out, and has not responded to our emails/calls. He confirmed there was no CCTV and it seems quite possible that staff have access to the safe master key - if staying here be very careful. Given that it's a "beach resort" and you'll often find yourselves out of the room for substantial periods of time and not wanting to carry all valuables eg when on boats/diving and swimming this is a very substantial problem. It's a real shame as there's lots to like about the rest of the hotel and staff were mostly very helpful.

The staff here were extremely helpful and polite, definitely made me feel at home. It is a bit far from town, but they have a free shuttle service. Everyone I talked to who stayed in town mentioned noise being a problem, but Luwansa is very calm and you'll sleep great. I was pretty happy with breakfast, so maybe they have improved it recently. Would be better if the wifi could be used outside the lobby, but it does you out and talking to the other guests which is nice. Would recommend at least extending it to cover the bar and pool as well. Overall I'm glad I stayed here

Stayed 2 nights for a trip to Komodo Islands. A small boutique hotel on a beach front location , our villa room has a nice seaview across the swimming pool. Resort manager Mr.Sigit Endrasetyawan & his very friendly staff makes this trip most memorable from arrival until departure including speed boat trip to Rinca Island, Komodo Island & an eye opening Pink beach where we had private lunch well organized !

Room Tip: Sea view villa

The hotel needs work. My front fdoor stuck to the point that you couldn't get it open or closed. The room was a double and yet they only provided one robe, one set of slippers and one towel, and one set of toiletries. When asked for an additonal set, they only brought an additional toothbrush. The swimming pool was supposed to be an infinity pool but was not full. There is a picture on the Trip advisor website of a cow drinking water out of the pool. The breakfast was lacking what you would find in almost every other hotel in Indonesia. They have these lizards which are very loud at night crawling around. They wanted to charge me for ice for the room but then when I said I didn't have to pay the night before, they said they would deliver it anyway for free. My advise, find somewhere else.

We bookt the hotel on Agoda because it seems okay on the internet. But after one night sleep in Luwansa beach resort I was all covered in bed bug bites (see the picture). The staff did not looked shocked about it and did not seem to care so much.
They did not apologize, but after letting know that i was not happy about it they offered a free breakfast for my travel partners and I for one day.
Also the swimming pool needs maintenance and more water in it, the prices at the restaurant are absurd and if you do buy something double check your bill.
The one good thing about this pace is the shuttle service (because the resort is in the middle of nowhere!).
