Reviewed 26 April 2012

We have stayed five times at this fantastic B&B and really enjoyed the break, the area and the hospitality. Comes close to having the best views in England and the breakfasts are always great. There is remarkably low levels of light pollution so a great sky if cloud free and it is a really lovely rural setting. Virginia who runs her farm B&B in an unobtrusive way, does everything possible to make your stay comfortable. A great bolt-hole and a great spot to explore the lovely North York Moors from or to visit nearby Ampleforth, the Abbey or Helmsley. A calf was born at our last visit which emphasised, in a lovely way, that this is a farm.

We came upon Hall Farm by accident, and have become regular visitors. The location is perfect, the farmhouse is surrounded by fields and an orchard garden. Breakfast is made from local if not farm made products. The homemade jams are wonderful and we hope that next year we can purchase some to take home. Our dog was made welcome and sleeps in a kennel with the farm spaniel, Jerry. The owners are true locals with a wealth of knowledge and are kind and caring. The double room is ground floor with super views and a very comfortable bed. We asked them to Dog-sit and went out without our dog to a couple of evening events, which we would have not done if the dog had to have been locked in the car.
