For locals and tourists alike - the views of familiar landmarks are quite different. Walk the dyke trail to the north and see the north shore mountains and gulf islands from quite a different perspective. Or, walk east and enjoy the olde fishing village with lots of services. Or sit and people watch.

I was here to see filming for Once Upon a Time and on the off day walked around Garry Point. It is a pretty basic park, not much in the way of equipment or attractions, but it is so beautiful! The bay is gorgeous and you get a good look a the mountains in the distance. Lots of people walking dogs and biking, and it is a friendly area. Great way to spend 2 hours getting in my steps!

Seems like the sea air at the far western edge of Garry Point Park is the cleanest and freshest in Richmond. Great place to watch the kites fly or the fishermen head in and out of Steveston Marina. Large and expansive green space, walking trails and a great Fish n Chip place for a nice outside lunch with the seagulls and small birds begging for a morsel. One of Richmond's best public spaces

If you haven't already been here its time you checked it out on a sunny afternoon. You can stroll people, bird, dog and boat watch and relax. If you get hungry great fish and chips and icy treats await nearby.

Gary Point is located at the mouth of the Fraser in Steveston a community in the City of Richmond. Grab a bite to eat from Pajo's at the point and walk around the park. Great place to fly a kite, picnic with the kids or play along the few sandy beach areas. In the summer with the Ocean breeze, pick a relaxation spot on one of the benches which have been donated in memory of the many local people who have passed on.Tranquility at its best within the bustling city.
