This drive hands down was our favorite of the trip. Take the back way up passed Spray Lakes you will see lots of wildlife. Upper Kananaskis lake was breathtaking. The lower lake wasn't as pretty as the top.

Beautiful mountain and lake views. Rocky beaches with driftwood for nice walks. Walking trails nearby for short hikes. Peaceful and enjoyable

one of my favorite places and hidden gems in the banff area. I really enjoyed camping here even though there was a huge bear problem! love it, very beautiful

Thus is a Must Visit place in Kananaski. There are two lakes, Lower and Upper lake. I have been to the Upper Kananaski Lake hiking many times. Always hike to the other side of the lake. I was there once in spring in min-April and there was still some snow on top of the mountains. It was picture perfect, so very beautiful. The lake was so blue and calm when no canoe on the lake was like a big piece of glass. Good for camping but be very careful of bears. I came across of two big grizzly bears when me and my friend were hiking in. The camping grounds are awesome. Don't forget your bear spray.
