We were in Waterloo last weekend and the restaurant we wanted to have lunch at closed early. We ended up at the Princess Café. We had The Legendary Sasquash grilled cheese sandwich and a side salad. It was delicious! We liked the vibe of the place and appreciated the uniqueness of the venue. Will definitely come back. Might even take in a movie at the on-site movie theatre.

Red pepper tomato soup was well seasoned, served hot (not lukewarm like some other places) & the turkey club panini was filling with perfectly toasted mulit-grain bread. We were offered more hot water for our tea. Order at the counter & happy staff serve you with a smile at your table. The Cafe might consider getting rid of wifi. At 6pm many tables were occupied by one person head down tapping away on their laptop with an empty mug next them. A sign on the tables says at busy times you may have to share a table. Is this enforced by the diners? We didn't want to share; we had confidential stuff to discuss. Luckily the cafe now has the annex across the hall for overflow diners which, by 7pm, was packed. Comfortable cafe to have a casual dinner. We didn't have dessert but the offerings in the glass case by the counter were tempting. We are repeat customers. We will be back. To avoid a wait go by 6pm or after the movies being shown begin.

Stopped her for lunch yesterday, and the turkey sandwich was excellent. Beautifully toasted, and with a great combination of sauce and extras, I have not had many better sandwiches. Thankfully it was not crowded, as it did take awhile to make my sandwich, but it was worth the wait.

This is a wonderful little café. There is no table service and it is as casual and relaxed as possible. The coffee selection is good and the desserts are delicious. Staff are very friendly. It's a perfect spot for a quick drink or snack before the show.

Stopped in here with my wife for drinks before the show. Love the selection of craft beers, seem to change with a fair degree of consistency. My wife enjoyed a good glass of red wine. Prices were reasonable for the wine, although the beer was a little expensive, but seemingly worth it. We will definitely return.
