Beautiful scenery, great location central Cape Breton Island. Did Cabot trail one day (could take 2 days or more) then traveled east to Loiusburg one day. Left our camper on site so back roads were easy to access while sightseeing. Very easy to locate this KOA.
The campground on the side of Bras D'or Lake is very unique with wonderful eastern view. Loved our stay.

This camp site was a pleasant surprise, it was quiet despite being pretty full. The way the sites are terraced gives a greater sense of privacy & although each site isn't huge you feel you have your own space.. The view did it for me sitting at the fire pit overlooking the water was fabulous. The children could jump off the dock & swim and my son caught a few mackerel.. We only stayed for one night but we shall definitely go back. The only drawback is you can hear the traffic but it really isn't off putting. Owners were very friendly, the site has rules but kindly stated.

This campground is well located within 20 mins of all amenities. It is well laid out, with gorgeous views of the Bras D'or lakes.

When you stay at KOA campgrounds you do get spoiled, this one is a little less well manicured than others, but the location and beautiful vistas definitively make up for it.

My kids wished there was a jumping pillow:).
The staff are extremely friendly, will deliver wood to your campsite, and are eager to please. We will be back for sure!

We stayed 5 nights at this KOA. We were brand new campers. What a beautiful first time experience. Jason and Bonnie have a real gem location. They and their right hand man Ian were awesome. From the minute we booked (5 weeks prior) to the time we left their property. We were escorted to our site, Ian helped us get parked. They later dropped off a fire pit. (An old washer tub). They even said that they would start the fire for us if we wanted to. :) The view from our site was spectacular!!! There is a lot of traffic on the trans canada highway, (which the park looks out onto) during the day, but it dies right off as it gets dark. We left each day and went out to explore, so we didn't really spend a lot of time at the campground. I did use the laundry facilities. 4 washers, 4 dryers. No issues. We recommended this campsite to someone that we met a week later in Newfoundland. He booked and stayed when he returned to Nova Scotia. Jason and Bonnie, thank you so much for making our first camping trip an enjoyable experience. I will keep on recommending you.

Room Tip: We had a pull through site... it was great

Nice campground and enough far from the road and bridge. Traffic is not heavy and that area. The bathrooms are always clean and showers big enough. The campground did not offer a lot of activities for kids. Not close from grocery or services, organize your meals ! We have appreciated our stay.
