As the title suggests we had an excellent night at the motel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was much more than the standard continental affair. There was a European touch with Belgian waffles, hard boiled eggs, bagels etc. I felt that the all up cost of $113 (CAN) was good value. I add a note of caution about accommodation in Revelstoke, the rumbling of trains can be heard all over town and we were not disturbed by it, light sleeers may be.

Hi George,

Thank you so much for your review. Glad to hear that you enjoyed our free breakfast. The home made Belgian waffles have been a hit!

Glad to hear the trains didn't bother you too much -- they go by slowly, never blow their whistles as they pass and often go by unnoticed.

We genuinely appreciate your feedback, and hope to see you again in the near future!

This was the perfect spot to stop overnight between Calgary and Vancouver. I've stayed at the Best Western in Revelstoke previously, but $150/ night to go right to sleep and then get up first thing in the morning and onto the road always felt a little silly. The Swiss chalet was small, but cozy and impeccably clean (high dusting, etc.) Breakfast had a nice variety of fruit and carbs, including waffles. I'll definitely be back when I'm through down again.

Booked into this place for our trip back from Victoria. After a booking issue with an external site (Priceline) we ended up with a single queen room which is not what we thought we booked. The lady at the front desk offered us a family room for only a little bit more money so we took the room. Much to our suprise the room was excellent. Our room had a main room and a second room for the kids. The bed was probably the best hotel bed I have ever slept on. The room featured it's own labeled parking spot, a large fridge, lcd tv on a swivel mount and kuereg coffee maker. Breakfast doesn't have hot items other then a waffle option. People have complained about the train noise in the reviews but I didn't hear one at all, but the room we had was near the back of the hotel.

When searching for a place to stay overnight in Revelstoke, we found the Swiss Chalet.  Knowing after a long drive we would like the jacuzzi, we booked into the Mackenzie room. We were thrilled to find a nice sized room with a fridge, king size bed, electric fireplace and the best 2 person jaquizzi we have ever seen in most hotel rooms, never mind a motel. We had a private balcony that overlooked the mountains and the train tracks. It was kind of cool to sit and bet on how long this train would be.  A full hot breakfast buffet, super comfy room, sunset right in front of us, all on all it was a great stay!!  This will definitley be the go to in Revelstoke.

Hi Dawna,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I’m so pleased you enjoyed all the upgraded features of the Mackenzie suite - the electric fireplace, jacuzzi and balcony. The views of Revelstoke are hard to beat and we’re so happy you had the chance to enjoy them from your balcony.

We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

All the best,

This is a basic motel with nice clean rooms. There is limited room available for parking. This is more of a problem if you have a larger vehicle - especially in the winter. The location is good and the front desk service was friendly and helpful.
