Travelled to and from Ucluelet this week on the Francis Berkley, with a 2 night stopover. The boat is a working vessel that carries passengers and freight/post to the various outposts along the inlet and islands. The scenery is spectacular and we saw some wildlife. If you aren't bothered having a car when you get to Ukee then this is for you. It takes between 4-5 hours and is seasonal, and we loved it. Friendly, efficient staff and a little canteen on board too. It was a Norwegian based ship originally and is like a little Hurtigruten experience!
We loved it.
