We were enroute to visit friends in Coquitlam and decided upon dim sum at the Lee Garden. The cod congee was especially flavorful as was the mango pudding. The remainder of the dim sum items were all at a par with other Chinese restaurants within metro Vancouver

We went as a large group. Booked a table for 11.30 but still had to wait for over 30 minutes before a table became available.

The restaurant is pretty big and easily provide over 100 covers. There is a car park at the back.

The food is Cantonese and they provide a fairly comprehensive list of dim sums. We had nearly everything except the char sui buns.

The food is good and the service adequate once we were allowed to sit down.

it's not often that we're in the neighborhood at dinner time but today we were heading back into town from Burke Mountain (Coquitlam) so decided to excite our taste buds at the Lee Garden for dinner. We ordered the white water steamed rock cod (fantastic), deep fried crispy skin chicken and the sauteed snow pea sprouts and white rice (of course). It was a most enjoyable repast.

Although the entrance is at the back of the restaurant, you will be pleasantly surprised by the decor. A crystal chandelier hangs in the inside and the maitre de welcomes you. A selection of quite decent wines are displayed. This is not your normal takeout place.

The food was ok. We loved the prawns in a sweet & sour sauce. The diced chicken with cashews was underwhelming. The crispy noodle chow mein was good.

The dishes are about double the price of Mr. Ho Wonton. Unless I want to impress someone, like a business dinner or a special occasion, I would likely not come again. For me I prefer really tasty food at a good price.
