We stayed here one night and loved it. Solange and Marc Andre were exceptionally genuine and welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast by Solange was delicious, and we had pleasant piano music by Marc Andre playing on CD while we ate -- apparently he practices live, in the piano room adjoining the breakfast area overlooking the Chaudiere river, when he's present -- he was away that morning, though we met him the previous evening. My mother in law and I shared a bathroom. Our rooms were very clean, free wi-fi, comfortable beds, many pillows. Following breakfast we drove to the nearby Parc du Sept Chutes (park of the 7 waterfalls) and walked the just-over-1-mile path/boardwalk around the waterfalls. Glorious fall colors, wonderful park. Also fabulous was our happening upon "L'Histoire de Les Bulles" -- a fun shop in St. Georges selling locally made soaps, bags, handmade jewelry -- very friendly staff, French & English fluently bilingual. You can bicycle from St. Georges to Quebec City along the Chaudiere River, I believe -- but we didn't try it. I would highly recommend the Gite de la Riviere if you are visiting St. Georges.

What a delightful find! We stayed here for 2 nights during a tour of this area in May. Warm welcome by owners, Solange & Marc Andre, and Molly the adorable little dog. We had rooms with lovely views overlooking the river and these did have private en suite bathrooms. (I believe other rooms have shared facilities, so do check if this is important to you). There is a separate sitting room with TV, and a balcony overlooking the river for guest use. And there is plenty of off road parking.

Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning: home made yoghurt, fruit, eggs, omelettes, fresh bread & juice. Different choice every morning. And plenty of coffee or tea! The friendly owners were always on hand to help with any questions, but were never intrusive in anyway.

A great base for exploring this scenic area - we would definitely stay here again if we return.
