Enjoyed the hot springs pools but we were shocked at the poor overall condition of the resort. Interior cafe furniture was scratched and seats broken. Light fixtures needed bulbs. Carpet stained and worn. The pools ladies dressing room lacked doors or most were broken. This is supposed to be a classy place to visit but the decay is sad to see.

A very nice spot to spend some time and enjoy the hot springs. There are three different temperatures in the hot pools. It costs to get in and towels are $4.00 on top of the entry fee. Well worth the money spent.

COULD HAVE STAYED LONGER TO MAKE USE OF THE SURROUNDING FACILITIES
We stayed at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort for one afternoon/night as a stopover point on our Rocky Mountain self drive tour. Yes, the hotel is looking dated, but it was not as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be. Read on for the 'Pros and Cons'.

PROS:
~The room was clean and well appointed with a Keurig coffee machine (and pods), a flat screen TV, robes, iron/ironing board, desk.

~Outdoor lap-pool, diving pool, hot-pool with gorgeous surrounding views available for hotel guests and day visitors.

~One small hot pool for guests only.

~Sauna, steam room and hot/cold plunge pools available for guests.

~Ample free parking.

~Friendly staff.

~Pool towels provided for hotel guests.

~Loungers, locker and shower room and cafe available near the pools.

~Beautiful hanging baskets of flowers on site.

~We met one guy in the sauna that goes to the hotel every year and loves the pool facilities!

CONS:
~Breakfast not included.

~The hotel could do with modernizing, however it was clean and spacious and the pools/steam room/sauna/plunge made up for it.

~We found somebody's sock behind the couch in our room. :}

~Limited nearby dining. Several on-line reviews and one hotel employee raved about 'Tony the Greek' but it was a shack that served average Greek food on paper plates!

Rooms are in need of TLC, fan in bathroom not working and signs of water damage every where. Comfy bed but walls are paper thin. You can here everything outside and in hallway. Staff is over worked in pub and restaurant, felt sorry for them. Great food but they need more staff. Resort has been the same for many years. They need fresh look on the entire ground. Pool is showing signs of neglect. Not worth what they are asking rooms. The staff tried hard to accommodate and had things for kids to do on thanksgiving

Used to love this place. It is getting very run down. Lots of places closed and those open not worth your time. Was once a 5 star and now lucky to have 2
Pool needs painting, chips all over and not kept up
Change rooms dirty. Half the woman's toilets out of order. Half of change room doors with no doors.
Life guards have no interest.
Girl taking money rude and no interest
Staff unpleasant
Walk way to pool dirty
Positive is Water clean and hot
12.00 an adult per visit and appeared to be many coming and going you should be able to paint and fix
Hotel old, carpets need cleaning or replacement
This place is getting sad
