Rather unusually we hadn’t planned to stay here we were going to CBeebies hotel at Alton towers but there was really bad snow and it left us stranded.

This family took us in for a few days and provided shelter for me, my partner and my son so they are literally life savers as I don’t know what we had done.

Nothing was too much to ask and even provided us with meals and teas of Home cook food, teas and coffees which were lovely.

I couldn’t thank these enough for their hospitality. The room we stayed in was very spacious and made us feel at home.

Unfortunately it was under bad circumstances but I couldn’t rate this place enough!!!

Stayed here with a friend as we were going to a nearby wedding. It is a remote fab b and b, with everything you need at hand. We were offered a cup of tea and homemade cake on arrival from the friendly owner. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfy. Breakfast at 8.30 was a typical breakfast, very tasty and plenty of it. Urge other people to go and stay there.

Hill Top Farm, with its owners Susan and Alan is delightful. The bedrooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Breakfast consists of anything from bacon and eggs with all the trimmings to fruit, cereals, toast and homemade marmalade or honey. Plenty of info is available about things to do, places to see and eating places (of which there are many). There is also a large sitting room with TV for residents.

Room Tip: Very large twin downstairs with ensuite shower, very large double+single upstairs with ensuite bath. Equally good.

Just arrived back from a one night stay in this accommodation and I can happily say it was a fantastic B&B. On arrival we were greeted by the very lovely Susan who was very friendly and welcoming. I travelled with my husband, mum and dad as we were attending a wedding nearby in the evening. On arrival Susan was able to book us a meal at a local pub called the Ryles Arms which was one of the nicest meals I have had in a long time, Susan also provided us with a list of local taxi numbers so we could attend the wedding venue with ease. The 2 rooms were really nice and had lots of farmhouse character, very clean and fantastic views out over the Peak District. Breakfast is served at 8.30 and that too was beautiful, all in all a fantastic place to stay in the very cute and quaint village of Wincle. Will definitely be returning.

We spent two wonderful nights at Hill Top Farm in June and were made very welcome. Having our own entrance meant we could come and go as we pleased. We stayed in the twin room on the ground floor which was very comfortable, clean and and spacious. Our Hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful. As we were the only ones staying there at the time we had private use to the sitting room where there was a wealth go information about places of interests nearby etc. We really enjoyed the lovely breakfasts which were served in the cosy dining room by the wonderful Susan, who could not have been more accommodating. We would highly recommend staying at Hill Top Farm if you are on a walking holiday or like us visiting Lyme Park and the surrounding area.

Room Tip: Both rooms are quiet. The twin is on the ground floor and the double reached by stairs.
