We stopped in to eat and it was very good but what made our stop here the best was meeting the lady that started it all in the gift shop. Ended up chatting with here for quite sometime and bought two of her books . What a little find

Most campgrounds around here are pretty expensive. Close to $50 a night. Pretty sad for what u get. Sites are spacious and it was very quiet during the night. Lots of big signs directing everyone where to go and what to do. Internet nonexistent except by the office Satellite tv has 8 channels which was ok with us. Gas/diesel very expensive and forget the "Wolf it down " restaurant. It was absolutely the worst meal we have had in 3 months.

The cabin was nice but they nickel and dime you. You have to buy water with a meal and if you share a meal they charge $3.50 for a plate even if you don't ask for one. The cabin is comfortable and clean but I do not like being charged for things that should not be charged for. You pay around $200.00 with taxes and the meals are not cheap. If you want extra coffee in your cabin get one package and are charged $1.50 for another which is not bad but the cook complains about getting another bag as he feels that you only need one bag of coffee. This I do not understand if you want more coffee and will pay for it what is the problem.

The best thing about this place is the campsites are plenty long and separated by trees. Otherwise it's annoying, overpriced and too many rules. Upon checking in, I saw the Good Sam sign and said we are members. He points to a sign which says you can only get the discount if you pay cash. Regular rate is C$54.59 or cash US$41.10. And he spells it out: two twenties, a one and ten cents...like I'm slow or something. He mentioned internet and pointed to another sign which says you'll be charged $5/minute if you use internet for video. The trash station has 9, yes NINE! ways to sort your trash and another sign says it must be sorted. Oh, and they tack on a $2 recycle fee. What? The well water smells, looks and tastes of rust. Gross. The restaurant is way overpriced, and don't expect to be greeted there. Save some grief and avoid this place.

We stayed at this campground and rv park for 1 night on our way to Whitehorse. It was $54.00 for one night for water and electricity no sewer! Showers were $1.00 for 4 minutes and $6.00 for a load of laundry. Absolutely the most expensive place we stayed on the Alaska Highway. The campground was clean and nice but not very friendly. My husband washed his fishing license in his jeans pocket when we arrived he quickly went to the office to see if someone could print it out for him given we had no cell service, instead of offering to help him out with the computer and printer they had right in the office they suggested he drive the 20 minutes back to Watson Lake to print it at the library. I am sorry but where is the customer service, he wasn't asking a lot we could have paid for the print out. Not impressed.
