Reviewed 16 July 2006

my husband and i have camped here a few times,, its a beautiful little campground, and easy and free to get to on the ferry from letette. last year we also ventured to grand manan and camped at hole in the wall, which was a wonderful experience yes, it was more secluded and private, however deer island campground is very similar for much less, we camp right on the side of the cliff there too, and the old sow whirlpool is a beautiful sight to see, and the trip over on the ferry to eastport maine is a fun day trip too,, we love deer island campground and would recommend it to anyone who wants ocean front camping but doesnt want to take the long and expensive ferry ride to grand manan.
