The hotel is 10-15 min walk to Limerick University, it's next to an Aldi & cheaper than a lot of places we looked at.

But it all feels a bit on the cheap and still being finished (several floors were not completed so it looks half built from a distance) tiles & hooks were damaged in the bathroom and the carpet was ripped in a couple of places.

We had soaking jackets on arrival due to the wet weather but no where to hang them in the room. We managed to get a second chair so we could hang them up that way. (There are only 5-6 coat hangers in a 1-2 foot space so hanging them there would have soaked our other clothes).

The iron was good but the skateboard sized table top ironing board was pitifully inadequate. The hairdryer had a safety switch which took so much effort and special knack to use it hurt my hand to use it- having to hold the button down with so much force!

Staff were OK.

Stayed in the Travelodge Castletroy for the weekend, never again. Breakfast took over an hour to be served and some of my party had to leave before receiving it, what was served was not very nice at all. The rooms belonging to the younger members of our party were not cleaned at all over the weekend which was disgusting. There was no where to relax other then your room.

The hotel was nice and clean - good for budget travellers. It's not very close to Limerick city, but there is a local bus that runs by, and if you are up for tourist tours to Cliffs of Moher or Kerry, the Paddywagon tour bus stops at the gas station nearby to pick up. The rooms don't have a minibar so if you stay for more then couple of nights, it's not very incovenient if you want to store your drinks or fruits in a cold place.

For an economical and clean accommodations , the travelodge was the right choice. Free parking and internet with a good location near the university of Limerick. Aldi grocery store next door and a coffee shop is open for breakfast and lunch

The rooms are very nice, comfortable, clean big, warm. Have a desk with coffee facilities, TV, spacious bathroom. The wifi was pretty good, I don't know why others are saying different. However there is no bar or restaurant on site. There is a little café next door but it didn't look great and closed real early. Net door there is a petrol station and wine place. You can get a lot of stuff in these places.

But if you come out the hotel go left, then go left at the roundabout there a nice hotel called "Castletroy Park Hotel", 10 minute walk, which does amazing food and lots of choice of drink. It is fairly expensive and posh though.

All in all though it was a nice hotel. What you would expect from a Travelodge.
