Located 5-10 mins walk from the centre opposite Bristol Temple Meads station. Parking at rear- use the NCP if the hotel car park full; NCP a lot cheaper too.

Reception helpful, friendly staff. Good decor throughout. Bedroom comfortable, a tad small maybe. Very clean and quiet. Good air con.

Breakfast buffet was perfect, the right hot choices and continental too. Nothing too flashy. Very nice helpful staff.

4 stars as a bit pricey!

Really well placed for the station and main town centre. Great sized room recently refurbished with a walk in shower . Staff are very friendly and helpful . Although only 20 free parking spaces we didn’t mind the £12 for parking as the room was a bargain £65.00 including breakfast . Thought it t was just continental but you can have sausage or bacon baps or scrambled egg bacon sausages and beans . Plenty to of juice , toast muffins cereals and fruit. Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: 305 was a good size with large bathroom

Dear Cycling2016,

thank you for writing a review about your recent visit to the hotel. I'm pleased you found your stay to be of value regarding the price as well as the car parking. Also I'm happy to see the room was to standard for yourself and you enjoyed our free breakfast, in recent months we have added the addition of hot items being available such as the bacon and it's great to see you were happy with what we had to offer. Hopefully we can welcome you back soon.

Kind regards,
Daniel

My brother and I stayed here for two nights for his birthday as we were attending a local music venue.

Directly across the road from Bristol Temple Meads station, it took no time at all to find it. Checking in was done very quickly and efficiently by the friendly duty manager.

The rooms were very clean and smelt fresh. The air con worked perfectly. Shower had pretty poor water pressure but it served.

Breakfast wasn't great with very little options on show, but can understand this is mostly down to the hotel being more aimed at commuters, people wanting a quick grab n' go breakfast.

The bus stop outside the front door was very useful, with a bus taking us directly to Cribbs Causeway in about an hour.

Dear Foxwell23,

thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent visit to the Holiday Inn Express Bristol City Centre. I'm glad to read that you decided to choose us for your 2 night visit to Bristol with your brother and you enjoyed your stay throughout. Our location is very convenient for many guests especially travelling by train as we are only minutes away from the station aswell as local venues like you said. I'm glad our staff were welcoming to you both also. However I am sorry that you were slightly disappointed with the breakfast, but we do appreciate your feedback and can hopefully help us expand in the future.

Hopefully we can welcome you back again in the future.

Kind regards,

Stayed 2 nights on business. Located close to Temple Meads Railway Station and ten minutes walk from the City Centre / Cabot Circus. Hotel comfortable and very much the corporate style of Holiday Inn Express.
Check in good and had a room on the sixth floor. Great views of the city. Reasonable size bedroom, with en-suite. Large walk in shower, but not a particular powerful shower. Bed comfortable. All fixtures and fittings worked and room as clean.
Buffet breakfast is included in the cost of the stay. Choice of juices, cereals, breads etc and some hot items. Quality good, except the juices being very much watered down.
Bar on site, but choice is limited. Serves limited choice of evening meals, but some great restaurants and pubs around Bristol that are worth a visit.
Secure car park on site at £12 per day.
In short, good value for a standard city centre hotel, located close to the centre of Bristol.

I think that the main reason for choosing this particular hotel has to be how incredibly convenient it is for Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station. It is just a totter down a gentle slope away - though that might seem like a steep hill if you're heading up it to the Station in the morning with luggage. It is a very handy place to break a long journey, or if, like us, you need to be at Bristol Airport in the morning.
It is clean and functional, providing all that might be required for an overnight stay. There is a bar, although the choices are not terribly wide of either alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks. There are choices - just not wide choices. You won't be staying here for the beer anyway. You can eat here in the evening, again, a little basic, but hot, decent food, not too extravagantly priced. Breakfast is included in the cost of your stay, lots of juices, cereals, breads etc and some hot items. All self service. It is very welcome.
Our stay was good, as it always is here. The only tiny problem was that we didn't get the alarm call that we'd requested, but we were not relying on it anyway.. It is a rather busy and noisy location but that can be fun, watching the hustle and bustle of the city of Bristol. The building is Disabled friendly. There are a few steps from the road level to the Reception area but there is a small lift available to use if you cannot manage steps. There is, of course, an internal lift to all floors.
In short, a good an exceptionally convenient place to stay.
