What a delightful Easter Sunday lunch we had. Moist tender chicken, melt in the mouth lamb and oh so tender brisket. Tasty veg and huge Yorkies. Reasonable prices huge portions and a lovely friendly Bristol welcome . Highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you

How pubs should be! Great old atmosphere, with a live dj slant, don’t let that worry you, it’s not a banging student hole, it’s a great pub with nice friendly staff, awesome ales and cider on tap, with a nice simple yet scrumptious menu to soak up that afternoon session. Go here for the afternoon or evening, before or after eating out, or best yet, get on the session beers, lap up the atmos, have a laugh and then stumble home full and content. Job done and just keeps on giving! Never change please your setting a great standard here.

Nice evening. Friendly, helpful staff. Great chips but didn’t like the veggie burger much! A bit dense and tasteless.

Dark unkempt odd place, probably used by wealthy students.
The service was half hearted, food mediocre and Sunday lunch over and under cooked.Carrots raw and Yorkshire puddings left a taste of 'burnt oil' in the mouth..
We left most of it and nobody ever asked; how was your food?
Ipa @ £4 per can was pricey.
Twice we had too ask for water.
To add insult to injury a 10% service charge was added to the bill..
Won't be back in a hurry though I have to say it was busy so maybe we were unlucky?
