What a delightful boutique bed and breakfast! Liz (our energetic and creative hostess and owner of this fine establishment) greeted us at the door and helped us up to our room. We were in the Wellington, twin beds for my adult daughter and I on on mom/daughter trip to England. The building was owned by the current Duke of Gloucester when HE went to Cambridge in the 70's, hence the name. Cleverly decorated, with abundantly comfortable bedrooms, lovely bathrooms and a spectacular sitting room downstairs. Located literally minutes away from the University, the HopOnHopOf bus, and the long distance buses that we later took to Oxford. The breakfasts were ENORMOUS with very flavorful eggs, grilled mushrooms and grilled tomatoes, lots of choices of cereals to go with the delicious 9that means not too sweet) yogurt. Paul, her able assistant, even fixed us up with a nice cuppa before we left after our last morning journey into town for one more bit of shopping. What a great palce...I will certainly be back here some time.
