well after a long drive down (7 hours!!) we arrived at the so easy to find Maderia hotel in Falmouth as mum is in a wheelchair now we were so pleased to find a easy access round the back in the bus parking area this led straight into the hotel next to reception.Kate on reception was so helpful and we checked in minutes .as we had requested before we arrived we were given ground floor rooms next to each other mum had a lovely sea view her room not too big and not too small everything within reach for her,our room was so big we could have fitted another family in there very clean and well maintained with a great bathroom /shower fantastic eco shower head that gave a very enjoyable shower ,lovely soft towels and unlike a lot of hotels nowadays soap shower gel etc.
the hotel itself very clean and spacious lots of room to wheel mum around fantastic sea views from the front of the hotel with loads of indoor and outdoor seating.
meals were very relaxed and the food superb all fresh veg lots of choice some very good seafood had no complaints at all. breakfast was huge unlimited toast butter jams etc great bacon and as many eggs as you wanted by the way some of the best poached eggs i have ever had in a hotel!!.
this is an alfa travel hotel so most of the guests staying are in the older bracket 60s plus but great for a laugh with bingo every night and some very good local entertainment singers and comedians, a very well stocked bar with prices that wont stretch the pocket too far i recommend the house doubles such good value.
as for the staff well as usual all very good at their jobs super helpful always at hand to help nothing was too much trouble for them and as i mentioned at the start a special thanks goes to Kate on reception who was super helpful especially in the episode of the missing Chilli sauce !!!!.
All in all a great hotel great staff great food great sea views with the small beach just across a not to busy road ,a hotel i shall recommend to all thanks Maderia a great time had by all cheers mick n vicki

Room Tip: ground floor rooms 1 to 4

This was our third trip to a Leisureplex hotel in the last 12 months and we found it to be every bit as good as the first two. The staff were brilliant, the room was a little small but kept absolutely clean and tidy for us and the meals were decent and well served.
We are unable to criticise anything about the hotel and are sorry that it will be closed in October. Well done to everyone connected with the hotel.

This was my second visit to the Madeira hotel. This time I was blessed with fine, warm weather. To sit in the bar with a drink at 5pm looking out at an ever changing seascape is a real treat for someone living in outer London. This hotel is closing at the end of the season so this will be my last visit, it's looking a little ' tired ' now but the food is good, drinks are fairly priced & the view is wonderful. My room was ok if a little dated now. No problems though as I don't go away to sit in my room.
Staff at the Madeira are all pleasant & welcoming, mostly eastern Europeans from Poland or elsewhere. The receptionist is just wonderful.

Room Tip: If you can afford it book a sea view

Needed a hotel at the last minute without spending too much and this fitted the bill. Basic room that is decorated and furnished like the 80s but it was very clean. Staff were friendly. Hotel seemed a favourite for the over 60s coach trippers. Check in process was labourious and slow. Breakfast was not at all great - I didnt want a full english breakfast because I dont eat sausage or black pudding so asked for egg, bacon and tomato......that was what I got: 1small egg, 1 bacon rasher and 1/2 a small tomato which would have looked lost on a side plate let alone a dinner plate so that was disappointing.

Stayed a couple of weeks ago with Alfa Travel. Excellent hotel, great staff and manager and a view to die for. A great shame that finances dictate that it will be closed at the end of the season - if only all the staff could transfer to a new Leisureplex hotel in the same area!

Room Tip: Any room with a sea view.
