“Excellent cottage, friendly people, lovely dogs.”
Reviewed 25 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

The cottage lies in a very quiet place, with a beautiful garden and stunning views. It was very well equipped and tidy, we had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Nigel and Richard were very accomodating concerning our wishes and easy to be with. Molly and Bertie, the dogs, were also very friendly. It is an ideal place from where to explore the Cornwall coast, Bodin Moor and Dartmoor.

“Great base for exploring Cornwall”
Reviewed 31 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Buttery and you sure can tell that Kathy and Richard have a lot of hospitality experience, it is the attention to detail that amazes. Spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and full of things you will come to appreciate. We were welcomed by a loaf of home-baked bread, scones, clotted cream and jam, fresh fruit. The fridge was stocked with essentials like milk, eggs, butter, even a bottle of wine(!) and the cupboard with things like oil, vinegar, sugar, tea, coffee, salt, pepper. All the stuff you would normally rather bring from home just in case was there at our disposal, things like kitchen rolls, dish cloth, hand towel, washing up liquid. All the appliances one might need: iron, ironing board, hairdryer, toaster, microwave, EU to UK plug adapter. A whole pile of very useful Cornwall guides and maps all just for us. The room is quite spacious so we could move the beds around to get better wireless signal. There is a beautiful terrace with an amazing view over the valley and also an outdoor gas grill you can use. There is covered parking as well. Visitors should just be aware that The Trussel Barn is guarded by a super-friendly dog who wont hurt you but will jump :) All in all a great place where you feel you are being taken care of and from where you can explore the wonders of Cornwall.

“Fabulous location. Lovely people that own Trussel Barn. Breakfast wow”
Reviewed 22 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

My husband and I went here for my big birthday celebration. I had been wanting to go to the Eden Project since my last Big Birthday, What a wonderful place with lots of outside space and a wonderful view. The accommodation is gorgeous and spotlessly clean. After a very long journey we arrived at about 5.30p.m. with a very warm friendly greeting from the really nice hosts Kathy and Richard, tea jam clotted cream and scones what more could you ask for? Trusselbarn is really well situated for sight seeing. Lost gardens of Heligan,, The Eden Project, Morgan Porth. Doc Martins Port Issaac. The list is endless
I would thoroughly recommend staying at Trusselbarn.. Thank you to kath and Richard 10 out of 10
