We only went in to eat having done so last year also. The dinner specials looked very inviting so we ordered two steak specials. These were cooked to order, were very tasty and very good value.
Get a window table and enjoy the view of the river.
Beware the steep steps- not for the medically challenged.

Thanks for your comments and so glad you enjoyed the steaks. Must say after 40 years going up and down the steps and path we really don't notice. Julie

While visiting Looe for a number of years we had never been here before until our friends Scott and Ellie invited us there for a meal. All i can say is wow it was the best tasting food i have had. The staff where amazing and so accommodating to us and our daughter i would highly recommend eating here. as when we are down again we sure will be doing xxx :)

We had family staying here (as they do very regularly twice a year!) so met them for our Friday evening meal. Lovely friendly place and nice bar/eating area with views over the river/harbour. Good choice on the menu and a steak special on Friday and Saturday nights @ £8.95 including a pint! We didn't want a massive meal so both went for their stilton and garlic mushrooms (with chips!) and they were heavenly. Will definitely eat there again when in Looe! Can't really rate or comment on the hotel as we were not actually staying there but Dad showed me their apartment/room and it was lovely.

We had never been before but were tempted in with the steak and a pint for £8.95 (friday and Saturday).

We added the garlic and stilton mushrooms and syrup sponge/eton mess to the order, all washed down with beer and wine! Had to roll us out when we had finished!

Food was great, with a lovely view looking over the estuary.

Thanks for a lovely evening at the Rivercroft. Julie was very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in room 14 (a standard double with a double and single bed). The room was spacious with a gorgeous view. Clean, nicely decorated with comfy beds and all amenities. Hotel could maybe do with a bit of updating but was cosy. Also a lot of steps so not good for people with mobility difficulties. Good central location on east of the river.
Stayed in to eat and food was good (steak special at £8.95 for steak and a pint was good value). Nice atmosphere with a mixture of guests and locals in the bar. Unfortunately due to a bit of a heavy night in the town we missed breakfast as only served until 9.30. Only disappointment was that our late checkout request couldn't be accepted but was understandable as housekeeping finish by 12 out of main season. Would definitely return.

Thanks for your comments, its much appreciated. Its unfortunate about the steps but that is the nature of Looe, built on the hillside. Glad you enjoyed your steaks and we will continue to upgrade our facilities as we have been doing over the past 40 years. hope to meet you again soon.
