We stayed for one night. We were a little perturbed by the bowling alley and sports tv and wondered if we would get any sleep! However our room was quiet and we wouldn't have known that those things existed if we hadn't seen them for ourselves. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
The shower was large, but the water pressure wasn't great. I have thick long hair and I would not have wanted to wash it with that shower. The shower rail, mirror and toilet roll holder need replacing as the chrome is coming off, but that is a minor detail really.
The welcome is warm and the staff are really helpful and keen to give great service.
It's not too far to the beach, but it is downhill, so allow enough energy to get yourselves back up the hill if you walk!
We didn't eat at the hotel as we wanted to get some fresh air and a walk after a long drive. On the beach there was a great mobile wooden shack that does amazing burgers etc. However the breakfast next morning was very generous and well cooked.

Room Tip: We had room 11 which was quiet

Nice hotel, cosy little pub/bar. Breakfast was good, generous fry up (take a day off the diet!), cereal, fruit, yoghurt. Location is great to get onto the coastal path, only 20/25 min walk into Newquay, so nice if you don't want to be in the thick of it. Staff nice, friendly, helpful. Rooms were clean. Would return.

Excellent surroundings and entertainment in the newly refurbished Porth Lodge. 4 lane bowling, table football and pool tables. Selflessly clean and a friendly landlord. Will return for food later in our holiday . Dog friendly too!

We stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing (we didn't eat for the rest of the day) the food was all good quality and piping hot.The weather wasn't too good, but the room was lovely and warm with everything you could want.Everyone was very friendly and helpful, we will defiantly be going back. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 12, but the whole hotel is very quiet!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. However the rooms are tired, but no one ever spends all day in there. I most certainly would go back there. The only downside was the weather which can't be helped
