What a great place this hotel is. Pulling up to the building I wasn't expecting much. But inside me and my girlfriend were very satisfied. The welcome by the staff and the service from then was great. The room was great, tidy, clean and bed comfortabe. The best bit about the place was the lounge ( breakfast area ). What a great idea to help yourself at breakfast and use the space at all other times to be social and eat. Great value, Great location, Great place!

Thank you

Had been staying elsewhere in Cornwall but as weather so nice decided to stay extra couple of nights, so literally booked The Metro that morning for same night. Did wonder if it available at such short notice for negative reason but needn't have worried!
Unusual to be able to fit family of five into one room with so much space, clean and bright, doors straight out onto communal decking and super king size bed.
Loved the informal self service dining area and being able to use fridge for own items, continental breakfast perfectly adequate and plentiful. Hot drinks from machine lovely.
Only slight negatives were poorly flushing toilet if several people using in quick succession and location a bit out of town, however very handy for driving to beaches at Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth which we enjoyed.
Would return if back in this area again, very good value for money for a family.

Room Tip: Room 1 ideal for family of five (2 adults and 3 children), on ground floor with direct access to outside communal decking area.

Unfortunately I booked 3 nights here after reading some reviews. Staff were friendly on arrival but place wasn't very clean. Room not serviced after our first night. Room was dirty (someone else's toenail clipping still on floor). Rust stains on carpet from the feet of the metal bed frame. Bed uncomfortable and poorly constructed - headboard kept hitting wall if you moved, making a loud clanging while you're trying to sleep (imagine someone ringing a bell over your head...). Bathroom small, stank of damp and had a cracked mirror. Water temperature kept changing during a shower. Breakfast was poor, stale croissants or toast. Very expensive and had to pay extra for parking, which was badly laid out.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else.

The staff are very freindly & polite, place is very clean & very close to the beach, breakfast is excellent, in few areas where they can improve is the bathroom & the telivision are very small, overall good place to stay, we had a party of 5, 2 adults & 3 children

Room Tip: I think all the rooms will be good, our room was located on a corner suites which was excellent

£75 per night for this hostel!Stayed here with my hubby 2/3rd August and,my own fault, should have stayed somewhere else. There are lovely B&B's for cheaper or the same price.
Let's begin
1.Non refundable deposit up front - is this legal?
2.Charged us for car park which was part of the hotel!
3.Damp stench throughout!
4.Dirty,stained carpets.
5.No curtains but blinds damaged.
6.Broken bed.
7.Only continental breakfast - cheapskates!

Never, ever again.Wipe your feet on leaving!
