This restaurant is situated in a perfect spot, overlooking the sea. The service is excellent, and the cuisine of the highest quality. We had a family gathering of 13 to celebrate several milestone birthdays at once, and we were more than happy with our choice of restaurant. The menu is varied and interesting, and caters for all tastes. My particular favourites were the fish pie and sticky toffee pudding, both of which were, quite frankly, to die for. Our meals were all hot and served at the same time. Highly recommended!

After a five hour, early morning drive from Kent, Lewinnick Lodge is our first stop of the holiday to recharge with breakfast. Beautiful view across Fistral Beach and Newquay, welcoming staff and the Full Cornish Breakfast really hit the spot. I can imagine that the veranda at the height of summer (with a beer in hand, natch) is absolutely epic...can’t wait to try. The only downer....the pool table is strictly over 18s only which annoyed my teenagers.

I stayed there for two nights and it is a very nice location. The lodge is located direct on the cliffs and the view is outstanding. The room was very spacious and quite nice equipped. There is a nice restaurant and a pub as well. Therefore it should fit for every taste.
The staff is very friendly.

Will definitely come again if I am in this area.

It is nearly 40 years since I visited Newquay. At that time the town was full of quality hotels and equally fine b and bs. Now many of these places have disappeared and there remains but a few sparkling gems like Lewinnick Lodge. Perched on Pentire Headland this is a hotel with spectacular views; not only that, the accommodation is chic, smart and very comfortable. Hand in hand with a super restaurant with a compact but varied menu to suit all tastes, this is a place to stay and enjoy the ocean and, in our case, a pair of seals bobbing up and down in the swell. In January, this is a quiet place so I cannot comment on high season. But the quality is unquestionable, notably the quite fabulous breakfast menu that truly sets you up for the day. Lewinnick Lodge is undoubtedly a place for guest who enjoys quiet (certainly at this time of the year - though the bar can get busy because it is so good and popular with all age groups) or to be mesmerised by the rolling waves crashing against the rocks as the weather changes. We loved it here and would highly recommend a stay.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms cost more (obviously) but it is well worth the extra cost.
