“GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILY GET TOGETHER”
Reviewed 21 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We have just returned from a week at Trescowthick Barn. We were a party of 10 people ranging from 2yrs to 82yrs.
We have stopped at lots of of holiday homes in Cornwall and this one was of the same high standard as the others. Plenty of room to spread out and have your own space if needed, but also large enough rooms to get together.
Central to most of cornwall.
Very well equipped and warm, great jacuzzi bath.
Downstairs bedroom and shower room which was great as parents find stairs difficult these days so they were able to stay down stairs.
Would highly recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet and seclusion .

This place has everything, superb kitchen/dining area, large living room, great bedrooms, all spotless and clean, the whole place is very welcoming, we had plans to have 2 nights out whilst in the area, but it was so nice we had 2 nights in,ideal for a group or large family,we did not get chance to sample the bakery next door but we will next time as we are planning to return already.

“Seculed comfort haven”

Loads of room and all of mod cons, a great find! Will be coming back for sure. Bit of a walk to Newquay (4
Miles via the country lanes 2.5 on the main road) but that was half the fun.

“Very nice and cosy”
Reviewed 3 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

If you want to venture into the wilds of Cornwall away from the norm and stay in a quiet and cosy large place then this is it. The home is a mixture of modern and old style furnishing with plenty of rooms, receptions, bathrooms, conservatory, huge garden overlooking fields into the distance and a large large kitchen, it has character and charm. But be prepared to live without the mobile as signal area is at best weak although broadband is included.

Everything that a family or a group of friends would need is catered for, the beaches are about two miles away as are many of the shops , bars and restaurants although staying here it's better to just cook up a storm in the kitchen or on the barbecue.

Great place to visit for a family.

Booked from Australia, I must admit we were not completely sure what Trescowthick Barn would be like. How delighted we were! We took a party of eight here, and entertained our Scottish friends holidaying in nearby Newquay on several occasions.
It's hard to find any flaws at all with this place. It is extremely well appointed and obviously much loved. Our holiday here was a highlight of a trip to the UK in summer. It even got quite warm!
The owner can be contacted directly and they provide good clear travel instructions from nearby centres - which you will need, as well as a car.
If you are not English, prepare yourself for driving down Cornish laneways - single lane but two way traffic. Good manners and a GPS help a lot.
By the way - there is a commercial kitchen next door - literally next door, who provide Cornwall's best pies, breads etc to outlets everywhere. You can go in and order from them.
