This pub is really atmospheric and when sunny the outdoor area is awesome. We spent a lot of time in the pub when the weather was a bit iffy and had a great time. Staff were nice and helpful. Didn't eat the food but had a lot of rattler.

Fantastic pub to sit outside a bit gloomy inside we had a Sunday lunch food not that good but made up with it with a free bottle of wine very small portions for the price 11 pounds each for a Sunday roast very slow at the bar and a weird system of if paying by card and under a tenner will charge you ten pounds and give you the change get up to date for gods sake it's contact less age

A very popular pub that tends to get very busy. There are numerous booths at the rear of the pub that are very cramped - ok for two people to have a meal but the table would have difficulty in accommodating more meals. The ploughmans lunch had an excess of cheese that, unfortunately, had a rather bland flavour. The real ale was served far too cold. Staff were very pleasant. The overall rating reflects the atmosphere and not the quality of the food.

Having had the seafood tagliatelle on previous occasions and having thoroughly enjoyed it I was so looking forward to having it again. However on this occasion I was completely disappointed with it. The king prawns were tasteless and bland, the quantity of crab meat was very meager (possibly a small tablespoon full). The small serving of pasta was lost in the sea of cream sauce . All of which was unseasoned. To top this the price had increased to £13.95, which in my opinion is very expensive for a pub meal when compared to similar restaurant meals nearby (ie cafe pasta ) where you can have crab linguini for £11.95 and crab or prawn bake for £11.50 whilst sat enjoying a beautiful view!

We pop in here whenever we are in St Ives. WE prefer the bar as it is cosy and less crowded than the main room. the beer is good and the service friendly. In good weather it is great to sit outside an watch the day go by.

Room Tip: We did not stay in the Inn. The main rooms look fine but we cannot rate the bedrooms.
