Having struggled down the steep cobbled hill for about 20 minutes I stopped here to have my lunch. This is about half way down the route to the harbour. It has a small garden with a view of the sea and a few tables inside. I ordered a cream tea. It was £6.50 not the cheapest but hey its a tourist place. It was delicious and a nice pot of tea which was in a kettle. There is only one place to eat at the bottom and so this is a good place to stop as it is crowded down there which you would not know till you got there.

The tea - rooms are warm and cosy, the staff is helpful and very polite. They checked for me (vegan) all ingredients and I got something special to eat.

For a village you have to pay to enter we found the choice of coffee/tea shops disappointing. The menu was rather old fashioned, only filter coffee served, perhaps we get used to too much choice? Cheap old cups and coffee pots, only redeemed by the view. They need to clean up and update, all seemed a bit behind the times and did not enhance the experience.

Very nice staff and a quick service in the little garden at the back with lovely views over bay. Basic food but nice.
